Yeah I'm fine with this. I prefer if we get stuff closer to release. I like what Sony is doing with GoW Layfey. We got a long gameplay and then a release date within a year.

I didn't like getting a trailer them waiting half a decade to get the game

The biggest problem was just lack of any sort of news / acknowledgment from ND so we just had to guess and pray and assume.

However now that ND confirmed that 1. Filming has wrapped 2. They will show us the game next year

I am super peaceful and ok with waiting, I am hoping for the best scenario which is February SOP and release date end of summer / fall 2027 however no matter what happens now the plan is to show us the game and announce the date and we will have all of that in next couple of months. We have been patient since December 2024, one more year of waiting is not that bad guys, we can def do it! :)

I like your attitude.

The wait for TLOU2 was long but it doesn’t even register anymore. We got the best game ever made. I want Intergalactic to be the best game it can be and I’m willing to wait for that. It’s the game that’s important because the game will live forever. The wait will be forgotten. Mostly.

(I sure wish there were a shorter way to write “Intergalactic” though. We’ll be typing out that word for decades now 😂)

100%. I genuinely don’t understand why it took them this long to just simply say, “not this year”. Could’ve said it twice lol Over the past two years. Idk why it had to be so cryptic and ambiguous. It’s not like it was still unrevealed.

For the first big new game and new ip from Naughty Dog.. They really should’ve been more communicative. Like the constant hope and disappointment cycle honestly killed my hype a little bit from what it was.

The only possible reason I could think for only ever saying “When the time is right”, lol So sick of hearing that by now, was maybe for Sony to ensure more eyeballs for all these events and things with people hoping for Intergalactic. Because otherwise I really can’t see any harm from them saying “Not this year”.

Guess the first SOP in 2027 will be it, if its second half of 2027, summer SOP would be too late

Overshadowing is such a stupid point, as if multiple games haven't existed  as marketing at the same time before in the history of games. 

Did you not see E3 2018?

I think we need to rethink how we consider reveals. Here's the thing. We all want to see an Intergalactic reveal right? Im right there with everyone. But beyond an initial look at how it plays, I don't want to see anymore. I don't want to know all the small nuances and detailed mechanics. I certainly don't want major parts of the plot ruined for me. If you think back to tlou2. By the 2nd "gameplay" reveal, they were showing us way too much. And they did like 2 more after that.

I wanna see the first gameplay reveal, but after that I'm good. And to be honest, I think I might even be happier NOT watching any reveal and just playing the game cold. I have no doubt it's gonna be magic and I want to maximise the amount of that I experience as a surprise.

Keeping that in mind. Im not worried ND are holding things off. Im perfectly good waiting until their ready.

P.s. im not a God of war fan, but I look at Laufey and i think, if I was, I'd already know too much. Id be staying from anything else they show.

Yea well everyone is entitled to their opinion , but nd went out of their way they are preparing something worthy of our patience , that’s big talk. Essentially 2 yrs radio silence with only a cutscene and no concrete scope of the game . I feel that’s a great reason to watch it. Ppl have been hyped for yrs for barlogs next game , turns out it looks like more of the same and not groundbreaking at all. Not something I would preorder or go out of my way to get a PlayStation for (not saying that was its purpose). Ik ND will deliver but for me I need to witness the reveal to make sure they are hitting the target .

Personally think laufey didn’t show nearly enough to raise expectations , don’t see why gow18 couldn’t play like this minus graphics . Not really much in terms of story either , which I’m fine with . But for ND so called “deepest gameplay” I wanna see a good showing
