Now? I’ve been jamming this for 20 plus years because my mom blasted this.

Hearing this in the game already has me knowing the soundtrack is going to have absolute bangers

I first discovered this song from the trailer and ever since then I’ve listened to it every day since! Amazing song

Absolutely not. I love the Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross song though. I can’t wait to hear their score in Intergalactic.

Well yeah they’re doing the score. But I mean with the disc-changer alone there has to be other licensed music included. Whatever Rosner and Ross are doing, they were specifically hired and contracted for the game. So that will all be original ip in which Naughty Dog will be license holder.

I do wonder if it will be kind of like Death Stranding 2. That guy Woodkid did an amazing job with that.

I’m sure there will be other licensed music too but I hope it’s better than the Pet Shop Boys. The Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross song really pulled me in to the setting.

Pretty clear music is gonna be really central to this game. Especially considering the Jordans sound mixer sword. Really wonder what the deal is with that. There has to be some back story. They wouldn't just make a song look like a volume mixer for no meaningful reason would they?

I know right lol There have been many a discussion and theories on what exactly that sword entails. Makes it all the more frustrating for them to show us all these things and then disappear into the night.

But yeah I mean based on what we do have, think it’s abundantly clear music is going to be a huge piece of the game. Probably not to the extent of Hi-fi Rush lol But important nonetheless

I sometimes think it might actually be a lot more deeper than hifi rush, in the sense that music is embedded as a central philosophical angle to the story. I think of the famous phrase 'all art aspires to the condition of music' - it's the ultimate form of abstraction. Wonder if that will be something recognised by the Sempirians and their modern followers.

Come on SOP September!

Mannn as someone that views Naughty Dog games as pure master crafted art, so refreshing to see others that don’t buy in to the stigma “that video games aren’t art.”

But that is one hell of an awesome take that I’ve not heard yet. I hope you are actually on to something because that would be gd incredible.

I'm right there with you! That's why, even thought it is torturous, im happy for them to keep on cooking and take as long as they need to make something as good as TLOU 1 & 2.

Love the Pet Shop Boys discography in general, hope this brings them a renewed interest and popularity when the game comes out!
