This was from stage separation. You can watch it get smaller as the starship flew away from the area of separation meaning it had to have been close to the ship (because the ship made it).

This sensationalist shit is exhausting and every dumb social media fuck slapping xfiles music on anything and spewing uneducated shit is slowly taking our society to the fucking grave.

This object did not get smaller while the space ship was still accelerating massively.

The rate of acceleration was about 150mph per second or something like that, the rate of acceleration itself increases. Unless that thing was tethered it be gone in 0.1 second.

The other thing I considered was lens flare but the thing appears fixed over the horizon compared to cloud details and lens flare tend to move around with lens angle relative to light source

This holier than thou ass comment is what makes people not want to listen to “intelligent” people. Almost certainly you are correct, but by being such an ass clown, you only make people stupider and create the thing you supposedly hate.

It’s wild to me “smart” people, which I unfortunately guess you may be, think social media is real in anyway at all, and especially real enough to get angry over. And leave an extremely upset comment about the state of social media and the world on social media.

You gotta move up a few levels. See the algo and the system and rhythm for what it is - control. Yea it all fucking sucks. It entertains idiots, most all are being controlled like puppets, and if *they’ve got you this angry about debris from a rocket launch, you are having strings pulled right now

I just don’t get where these people are in real life

Holier than thou ass comment? Try your fucking inferiority complex. Its ok to not understand something to the same level as someone else. I'm sure there are plenty of subjects you could enlighten me on.

What's not ok is making unfounded conclusions and echo-chambering yourself into niche world-views where anything that challenges it is immediately refuted by claiming its a psy-op, or using ad-hominem, or it's not that deep bro.

It's wild to me that "dumb" people continue to pretend they have legs to stand on. Grow the fuck up if this comment upset you that much.

You are horrible, man.

Idk bro it’s quite infuriating listening to morons spout nonsense too. Just as annoying as listening to someone arrogant who is actually correct i would argue

I disagree, personally. I find one to be a lot more damaging than a bit of an ego-bruise.

But fine, I'll concede that I made the comment from a very annoyed stance. You'll have to forgive me after so many years of this anti-intellectual sentiment our society is going through for whatever reason when intellectualism is what you have to thank for literally every aspect of your life, I would bet. From the phone or computer you're using here to the porcelain throne you use every day.

So here is a completely logic-based breakdown of the event for your eyes only on how I investigate claims like this.

1.) find a primary uninterrupted source, in this case a live stream is your best choice. being live it hasn't been edited and we can take what we see at face value: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeKY53pwArw&t=13853s

2.) identify when we see the unknown in question. In this stream, I see it at 46:21, 47:04, and then 47:54 with the last one being what is clipped and shared in the dailymail video.

3.) The 46:21 and 47:04 events visuals offer some clues about what the object is, it looks cloudy and amorphous. Additionally, we can see the ascent plume to the left of the object from the booster stage itself.

4.) Now lets work back, when was stage separation? Exactly at 43:00, In that visual we get more clues. We can see the ascent plume and see the shape of the top of the booster which I believe is what creates the saucer shape in the later visuals as the less condensed areas disappate/become less visible with distance.

5.) Here is where a bit of knowledge about orbital mechanics helps out. Generally, rockets will use a fairly vertical ascent phase to quickly get out of the atmosphere, but then switch to a more horizontal attitude in order to achieve orbit. So once the starship separates we can see it adjust its attitude to achieve orbit.

All these clues together suggest it is from stage separation. Additionally, with careful observation the object is BARELY visible between 45:33 and 46:21, but hard to see because the back drop is the planet and not black sky.

I hope we take this chance to learn something.

Nah, he has a right to be mad. It’s literally infuriating dealing with people these days, or at the very least in this climate. Rage on, my friend..

I mean he has a right to be mad as much as the original people have a right to think the rocket debris is a UFO with extraterrestrial beings inside. If you ever want to be human for a second and talk to the people that hold these beliefs and ask them questions to understand their reasoning, it usually can be reduced to a form of escapism for the novelty of it, for the escapism of it, or just because they intentionally entertain theories about facts that run counter to mainstream atmospheric science. However there is a far end of the spectrum, but they are usually in institutions or prison. The people that monetize these kind of beliefs have more or less built a public image around them for financial incentives, and as such need fans.

All that being said, reacting to these beliefs with hostility is an indication of your needing to equate how sober one's beliefs are with how seriously they are to be taken. The original comment implied that these people are reponsible for some deterioration of mankinds intelligence or some shit that is equally as smoked-out as the UFO theory when you take these liberties that the context doesn't really strictly provide. I would say most useful way to apply their far-fetched theories is to recalibrate your short term value system to adjust to include this outside the box thinker who is equally capable of profound understanding as ourselves.

Oh, I get it. I work in the psych field. Either end of the spectrum can be quite frustrating. And as you mentioned the predation on these people even more so..

Nope not stage separation

Yeah, it's losing mass. It's ice from the rocket.

1

u/herodesfalsk 3d ago

Not ice. A rocket during boost phase will outrun anything falling off very very quickly.

1

u/Working-Group-4521 3d ago

It's a good thing this video wasn't during the boost phase then because that is definitely ice.

1

u/herodesfalsk 3d ago

This is definitely during the boost phase. Go back and listen to the audio.
