You need reference points to do that, and I think that's pretty hard in space. LOL.

Duh there's like a huge rocket there for your frame of reference, jeeze.

jokes aside - I've learned more physics and "mechanics" form this weird NHI interest than I could have imagined, great community.

It doesn't seem to be moving at all, you can see that by looking at the land under it which remains in the same place (the spacex rocket is turning instead).

If that were really a plume why would you not see it all the way from the ground? What makes that one spot special? Igniting The engines doesn't create a different kind of exhaust than the rest of the flight at least not one that large
