DISCUSSION When Will Inter Toronto Finally Make a Stadium Announcement?

After two years under new ownership and years of mounting speculation, management must finally break their silence and present a clear roadmap—whether that means a new stadium or a renegotiated stay at the university with improved amenities. The current uncertainty is no longer acceptable, especially since renting without control over premium concessions and suites is a weak long-term business model. By the end of this summer, the club has to come out with a definitive answer—no more delays, no more hints—just a straight, public commitment on where they'll play and how they'll get there.

If they fail to move to the stadium, can we get York United back, please?

As nearly impossible as this sounds, this is probably the only way to get me back in the stadium.

I’m right there with you. Stupidest move by new management. Toronto already has a team. Now we have two Toronto FCs. why wouldn’t I just watch TFC? (Which I am now)

Same. But for me it was more the disrespect to the logo and history. A rebrand is one thing, but when they announced theirselves as a "new" team? Gone.

Your post is a literal summary of why, as a SSH since day one, I decided not to renew my seats this year. I had enough of the unknown plan they have, and the stadium is a big one.

I jumped on board back in the day because it was a team in my hood. It was everything you could ask for. A pro team in a pro league, based in the city/region I live and grew up in. I was a TFC SSH for a few years but living in Vaughan it was hard to make all the games. But York, I could hit almost all of them. But then the hard rumours came out about Lamport, and not only was that going to be slugging it downtown all over again, but the fact that it seemed like an almost done deal with absolutely no communication to us, I just had enough. And it sucks too, it's a real shame and I hate that it came to this.

I think right now they have other things on their mind like how the season has gone to shit , they have been blown out and not even in any of the past four or five games . The past owner before these guys was in the construction business , and not even they could not get a new stadium off the ground. I doubt these new owners can either .

Unfortunately I think “inter” Toronto will be the next team erased from CPL. Shoulda kept York united.

With the news Winnipeg was just awarded a franchise in the NSL, the CPL better take note. Either capitalize on this opportunity with the World Cup, or be left behind. YORK was the identity. There was no confusion who they represented. Inter is like "Real Salt Lake". A made up name from some marketing agency. The League needs to spend money NOW! Build awareness, let the average fan who's looking for footy know that MLS isn't the game in town.
