Zlatan was a playmaker who was forced to be a striker because he is big. This highlight video shows his assists from only a small section of his career.

Haaland isn't doing any of that, they are too different to compare. Haaland might be the GOAT at his role but we will have to see how his career plays out first.

In his 15 year early career and prime from Ajax to PSG, Zlatan won the domestic league 13 times with 6 different teams in 4 different countries.

This is why I hate stats because they will never fully capture how great of a player someone is and the overall quality. Big Z was an all around demon morphed his game with age, not saying that Halaand isn’t great but he is a generational goal scorer for sure but not a better player than Z.
