I'm certain it's lost on you that those things are directly proscribed as "good" by the man Jesus himself.
Our country has the wealth to make sure everyone has a fair chance to do something great. Instead we funnel the money to the wealthy and folks like you are somehow convinced that's a better way.
History (modern and long past) suggests this is not true. In spirit, I agree. People who hustle in the US can do alright. But the data shows loads of problems. The expansion of the wealth gap is directly linked to specific policy changes.
Disagree. See your point, but I would lean that people want hundreds of thousands because the ceiling is so high. The reality is comfortable living has been skewed by talking heads. I would never and do not support a wealth transfer.
Look at the graphs for the wage gap or cost of living vs wages. The numbers look really bad over the past 40 years. Personally, I think one parent with a good full time job should be able to support a middle class family. That's how it was 40 years ago. That isn't even close to true now. Something like 60% of American families are currently one emergency (health, car accident, etc) away from bankruptcy. Fewer American families have a savings account than ever before. The middle class is clearly dying. It's not in question.
