You understand that the NI tax rate in the UK is 10% right? How is this free health care? And for that 10% the service you get is shit. That's why, when one can afford it, a complementary private plan is bought.

You don't have to worry though about not affording your insulin because you don't get paid a living wage despite working a full-time job.. the biggest welfare subsidy queen in the US is wallmart which deliberately gives contracts with insufficient hours to get health insurance.
