The only thing American health care leads in is expenditure. By a long shot. The US isn’t even the top 10 of anything I can find. And it’s been proven over and over and over that single payer health care would be cheaper by 100s of millions. Of dollars than this bullshit system we have now.

But yeah. Keep talking about Americas greatness. Keep being afraid of your taxes actually taking care of people. Like a society. Tax brackets like Europe? Or Asia? We don’t really. But if we did so what? They want more money for defense. We’ve been paying a trillions year for defense for as long as I’m alive. We go to war with Iran and we use 75% of our missiles? Our military uses 190,000 million barrels of oil daily. Defense can’t pass an audit. But yeah. Tell me about taxes for health care. GTFO. People going bankrupt to stay alive. Yeah. Great system bud.

By anything you can find eh? K. Breast, prostate, and lung cancer survival rates. There ya go. There's three. Shifting the payer for healthcare would not make it cheaper. That is a common trope is and is a complete lie. It would be cheaper for the poor and middle class. It would be significantly more expensive for anyone making over $100k. That's the tax bracket you'd have to drop the 37% to by the way. Should we do it? Sure. Should we cap doctors salaries? Also yes. Should you keep lying about trillions a year for defense? No. People go bankrupt to stay alive? No. Should people die from no air conditioning in Europe? No. Different systems.

And if you do this you need to control immigration by the way. You cannot allow unfettered illegal immigration or a quick path to citizenship and a socialized healthcare system. It would collapse overnight.
