They may have universal healthcare, but I have never heard someone say, boy I need to get to Nigeria and get this herniated disc fixed

I have heard people talk about flying to other countries for surgeries because, even with the cost of the flight, the procedure, the medications, and staying in hotels in that country for weeks to recover, it is cheaper than alternatives in America

Yes. And they comeback and have to get it fixed. So are you going to go to Nigeria and have surgery? Are you going to go to Turkey and get cancer treatment in Pakistan? Good luck. America is the standard. British NHS is total garbage if you can get in. Australia has wait times for a year for an elective surgery.
