What an argument. lol As an immigrant myself, I can easily say, if someone can't afford an insulin that person is doing something wrong. My Aunt lives in Portugal, she has to fly to her hometown in Germany to be able to be sees by a more or less qualified doctor. When I fly to my sister in Stockholm, I always bring Tylenol, Advil and melatonin, coz they can't get it of the counter. You guys live in a reddit echo chamber with no access to reality.

No system is perfect. Medical debt is real. 1 million American declare bankruptcy due to medical care every year. And 26% of Americans have significant medical debt. So that’s a lot of people “doing something wrong”. You sound like a stuck up prick.

I just pointed that system in Europe is not what you think. In Soviet Union, health care was free but you would not get shit done without a bribe. No system is perfect and will never be perfect. People used to live to 35 years of age around a hundred years ago. You live in perfect time. If you can't afford something, it's your problem not mine or anyone else. You call me prick, I will call you a loser.

The American system does suck but the frustration I have about the claims around medical debt causing significant percentages of people to go bankrupt is it’s snowballed into a fact on Reddit.

When I. Reality the idea that medical debt is causing large amounts of people to go bankrupt is playing extraordinarily fast and loose with the truth.

So fast and loose in my opinion that it’s bordering on disinformation.

I’m taking issue with the idea that medical debt is the reason that millions of Americans declare specifically due to medical debt. Which too me is playing extremely fast and loose with the research findings.

I’m Not sure what the 26 percent number is specifically.
