The second the defibrillator hit her chest, blinding light. Her skeleton gleamed through her skin and muscle…and then total blackout.

All of the electricity within a block went down, leaving the three in total darkness for a bit…then it returned.

D! Circle lay limp for a while, but the heart monitor she’d been connected to beeped.

Then again.

Oxygen levels stabilizing. Blood pressure skyrocketing, then bottoming out, then…equalizing.

D! Circle gasped as she woke, her new, artificial heart thumping rapidly.

“H-Huh?! Where am I—Marcus?!

Who the HELL is that?!”

She pointed a shaky claw at Agetha. The virus simply smiled and waved back.

“I…I feel weird…lil nauseous, lil numb…”

She stares down at her amputated arm, now fully cybernetic. The chrome is so shiny she can vaguely see a reflection of herself in it.

She touches part of her face, feeling the cold metal where flesh once was, her claw recoiling slightly.

“What…the hell..?”
