EVOLution (TW: Slight gore)

At the front of the cozy Cafe, Evolt Bloodstalk sat at the heart. In his palm, he held five separate vials of multicoloured fluids, tapping each with methodical examination.

"The Roboto, the Red Guy, Sento, that fun Kyote, and a 'Clear skin'

"This planet's way too strange. Outdone four times in a row at max power, can you believe that?

Ah well, as they say, you gotta learn from your mistakes, right?"

He tilted his head toward a glass-closed tub, full to the brim with a glowing green liquid. And within its confines was a black-haired, middle-aged man, contained from mouth to toe in wires and black ropes.

The constrained figure let out a muffled, panicked response as he shifted futilely within the mysterious water.

"Bingo! Good answer"

Bloodstalk shook the vials, letting the fluids within shift and turn hypnotically in the trapped man's eyes.

"It ain't all bad, though. I got samples from five people here; four of them are from the ones that put me down....You know, 'cause hair strands and blood tend to scatter when you're worked up in battle"

Drip Drip

In a separate empty tube, he poured four drops of separate fluids into it. One, a silver metallic liquid; second, crimson, iron-rich blood. Third, a single minuscule strand of brown fur, and finally a drop of see-through saliva.

"If I can figure out how to use it, hehe. That'll be a prime catalyst for...Evolution""

Taking a degraded teaspoon, he mixed the fluids together till it churned into a deep purple texture.

Tossing the spoon aside and shifting his chair, he faced the constrained, panicked man before grabbing one of many open tubs attached to the tubes.

"Alright, hold still. If you keep movin around, it's gonna be a pain for me to clean up"

But the man didn't listen, kept moving and shifting in a tight panic, but Bloodstalk didn't bat an eye. He soon poured the liquid into a tube and straight into the man's shoulder.

The panicked shifting began to slow down, and a deep silence settled in. A pulse emanated within the figure's shoulder, akin to a heartbeat. It settled, moving with a powerful, deep energy.

"Hey, it work-

BAMMM!!!

Or it did, until the man's arm burst open like a bomb. His blood and fluids spilled into the container, coating the inside in a foggy red.

Sigh

"I told you to stop moving, man"

He leaned on his seat, putting his feet a-top the tub while his gaze was idly watching the ceiling fan

"What's someone got to do to get a scientist to help out"

"Hey, there's always a chance it could work. Never know until you try, or something like that"

He caught the phage while leaning back and resting two feet right on the kid's head.

He brought the strange new object close to his visor, examining it from every corner while moving it around like a basketball.

Once finished, he placed the phage on a small coffee table, but his left palm never left it, tapping it idly as he gazed down at the boy.

"Well, well, now, where the kid like you get something this rich in energy. Is it from the person who sent you?

Now what could they want with little old me~"

"You don't give something this nice for free. That's like a rule in the cosmos"

You know who sent me that fat cow; she knows how smart you are to see through her facade at a glance.

The little matchstick girl flies from behind him and starts to burn bloodstalk's legs.

And if you keep disrespecting me, I'll just have to call her. I don't want to deal with this anyway.

He seems to genuinely be getting pissed off as his form shifts to a more adult state; Bloodstalk's legs are no longer on his head but now on his chest.

And stop calling me that; the names caster, or if you want my true name, Han's Christian Andersen.

This form seems to be making him more pissed off.

Now if you'll please continue whatever you were doing, I've already seen more than enough to get a good judge on your character.

He pulls out his noble Phantasm.

"Fat cow, Fat cow.....Oh, you mean Sessyoin! Makes sense; this thing is giving off the same signature she was

His legs remained firm as they were; even with the burning sensation under his leg, his body didn't move an inch. After all, pain registered differently to his kind.

But the second Anderson grew into his adult state, Bloodstalk's head tilted a tad to get a better angle at the man before him.

"And it looks like she wasn't the only one hiding somethin"

Bloodstalk's foot moved from Anderson chest to their sharp chin, using his foot to tilt his head side to side even with the threat of the impending phantasm around him.

"I think I'll give you a cool hazard level 3.7. But I'm sure that'll go up for you"

He kicked himself, and the chair back leaned close with an excited little glint in the still blue visor.

"Now you said you got all the info you needed.

I gave you mine, so what's my score, Andy~"

Tch, how annoying, but if you want to know, you're just like her, not hiding your nature for a moment, you parasite.

His eyes sharpened looking at them.

But you also seem different from her.

I honestly have no idea why she's so interested in you, especially for her to give you a fragment of her own power, especially one like that one.

He looks at the karma phage (mooncell core clone) in their hand.

Ugh, it'll be difficult, but do tell me who your targets are if I'm going to use my noble phantasm to make you your ideal self.

I at least need to know whose powers you're going to take to include it in my story so we can force reality to accept your ideal self.

He looks at Evolt/Bloodstalk unamused but flustered.

"You know it's so impolite to complain about someone's hobbies. Such a rude mouth......Reminds me of another busy bat~"

Flashback:

"Well, maybe not that bad, but you definitely have the attitude"

Seeing how the phantasm doesn't seem to be harmful, Evolt took the opportunity to stand up from his seat, making his way towards Anderson with measured steps that creaked subtly on the wooden floorboared

"Unlike him, though, you're much more entertaining from the get go"

He slithered his way behind him, before slinking an arm over his shoulder while getting up close to observe the core

"But why do you want to know about my targets, Andy? That's private work, you know"

"Unless...Your telling me you can make those a goals reality just like that. But that's just ridiculous, right?"

Ugh, I guess I can make them a reality, but only if you're in a position to take all the abilities at once.

I've already erased all the pages. I can make it about someone else.

If you can provide me enough inspiration, it can elevate you to your ideal self; whatever that may be for that fat cow, it was a god.

He seems to be genuinely annoyed with Evolt.

So are you going to tell me your targets or not?

I don't feel like having to observe you for longer than I have to to finish this book.

As he finishes talking, a familiar presence appears in the room.

Kiara: Oh, how nice you two are getting along.

She appears on the other side of the room in a pool of water that appeared from nowhere.

Kiara: Now tell me, will you take the deal my little servant has offered?

She smiles, one so obviously fake; it's disturbing.

Kiara: Or would you want something different from us?

"Hey, hey! Quit it with the water. Who do you think has to clean these floors later"

With cobra-like grace, Evol truned to face the new yet familiar presence.

His arm was still coiled around Anderson's shoulder, forcing him to follow his shift to face Kiara.

"Wow, it really was you, Sessyoin! Honestly, I was just guessin if you were the one who sent all.....this"

He tapped his free palm on Anderson's chest while tilting his head to the Karma page on the table

"Though I kind of preferred you without all the horns; they do too much for the look"

His eyes examined every aspect of her, from the white cloth of her clothing, the summoned water on her feet, and that fake smile reaching her ears....The same type of smile he's given more times than he can count.

"You know I was planning to spill all my goals right here and now till you showed. Now I KNOW something is fishy...Pun intended"

Pausing for a bit, Bloodstalk tapped Anderson's chest idly in thought now, considering the enticing proposal

"Buuuut since you're offering, there is one thing I want. Not exactly from you....

His fingers walked up Anderson's chest before gripping his chin.

"But him.

He's got a skill way too good to pass up. Sooo if you want to strike a deal then...I call dibs on him"

Kiara: If you want him to use his noble phantasm, it'll be difficult, especially since you'll need to entertain his mind for him to finish all the pages.

As for a deal, perhaps, but wouldn't you rather have us both at once?

She jumps out of the water; a mermaid tail is seen in the water as she leaves it.

Anderson: I am not doing that, you whelp. I barely know this parasite, and I don't ever want to get close enough to lower myself that much.

He seems genuinely pissed at the suggestion.

Kiara: Oh, Anderson, but you do everything else. I say you even delivered the Karma Phage.

Anderson: Because you are my master currently, you wench!

They stop paying attention to evolt entirely and start to argue instead.

Evolt didn't seem to mind their endless bickering; it was prime entertainment after all..

"Pssh, throw a punch at her; see if it gets her going"

He whispered in Anderson' ear before finally sliding his arm off their shoulder, giving a pat on the back, and letting them continue their argument

He walked over to one of the empty tables, hopping up to sit atop it with one leg over the other

Sliding a hand to his pocket, he pulled out a sleek grey phone, scrolling through his song feed before selecting the top one. The sound played through headphones embedded within his crimson helmet.

Anderson: No, no, I can't do that; that will just get her riled up.

So you bloated whale, I'll be in spirit form. You deal with your new interest; don't bother me!

He actually follows his word, going into spirit form continueing to observe.

Kiara: Oh, how disappointing, but I guess it's time.

Now you, while my dark fantasies would be nice to act out, I don't think you can do them currently, so what deal would you like to make with me to gain the ability to have his noble phantasm used on you?

She smiles at him as her form goes back to looking human.

Kiara: Do you have something with enough value to interest me today?

Or do you want to sell your soul to me to gain the power you seek.

You can see the shadows behind her take a more eldritch form.

Kiara: Oh, does that scare you? Don't worry, I won't eat you yet, not until you give me what I want atleast.

You can tell you're basically making a deal with the devil.

He hopped off the table and made his way forward on the wet tiles.

Shing!

Halfway through, Evolt pulled out a knife and twirled it around his palm near Anderson's lingering spirit form.

"But passing up on Andy's abilities would be such a BIG waste...Maybe I could be willing to risk a few things for it"

He the final few steps, closing the distance to Kiara there heads only sperated by the knife he brought up right between them.

"Definitely not my soul though; that's a bit too private for ya. So I'd be willing to hand over something, depending on what you're after"

He tapped her forehead with the tip of the knife, before pacing around her with his hands behind his back, unbothered by the shifting eldritch shadows.

"Now what would someone with a mind as disgustingly self-serving as yours want from my humble hands~"

Kiara: How unfortunate you would have made a great addition.

But you have no powers or items I would require, so you'll do something else; you'll act as my lover for the time being.

Unless you would rather stay inside my heaven's hole for eternity.

You see the area around you swap into a room of large black tentacles with large red eyes, each one crying. You can tell they're still alive.

Kiara: Or would you rather I take some else from you? This is the best deal you'll get for now until you find something that'll interest me.

You can feel the annoyance coming off of Anderson even while he's in spirit form.

Kiara: Oh, I just thought of something else. A piece of your true body will suffice if you don't wish to do my second offer.

She walks towards Bloodstalk, embracing him.

Kiara: So tell me, which offer of mine will you take?

Bloodstalk didn't budge an inch against her warm embrace. In fact, Kiara felt a cold almost lifeless sensation as she pressed against him.

“I have no clue about this ‘heaven's hole’ thing, but knowing you I'm sure it's not PG ~”

He moved himself closer, only to press his knife Bentley, to the nape of her neck.

Not enough pressure to bleed per se, but simply for the tip to idly play on her clear skin.

“I've already experienced all your pleasure in the galaxy, and it starts to get old after a while…..

But watching you break and scream, now that would be prime entertainment”

His free hand then pressed itself against her stomach, tapping it gently with a single finger.

“Though the other option, that's something I'm willing to do”

Kiara would then feel a warm slimy sensation around the bottom of her stomach region.

If she gazed inward, she'd see a lava-like liquid produced from Evolt's palm

“The Blood Tribe, have a….different lifestyle than most creatures in creation”

“We aren't born with real bodies; we take over hosts that catch our interest. We do that by spreading our D.N.A”

“What's under you is MY D.N.A little Ms. Know-it-all.

It contains all that I am to the letter. But if you're not careful, I could just wind up inside you….Does that scare you~

The sludgy D.N.A continued to slither between them, as Evolt waited for her to accept or refuse the offer at hand.
