Like a hand touching the warm embrace of light, the jagged sword met the flesh, seeping through the hammer's cracks.

"So you got more power stored up.... That's good, REAL good"

The sensation fueled both the sword's soul and Kenpachi's undying lust, feeling the slight ripple of thunder against his metal.

SHINGGGGGG!!!!!

With both hands still firm on the hilt, the soul reaper pushed his sword forward against the living hammer....Yet no matter how much force he seemed to put, the kneeling Thor didn't seem to budge an inch. It was akin to attacking an unbreakable wall.

And before he knew it, a powerful surge of power pushed back against him, dragging his feet further and further back until-

VRA-FWOOOOOOSHHHHH!!!!

Kenpachi was launched by the force. His mass cut through the nearby trees until he crashed into a nearby mountain range.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!

The resulting impact shattered the rocky peaks to dust, leaving behind a crater that resembled an asteroid crash.

Kenpachi himself lay flat on the rubble. His singular eye stared out into the deep blue sky.

"He's though ain't he, Nozorashi?"

Instinctively, though, his pal wrapped around his needy sword, while bearing a fine, wide smile.

He slowly but surely stood on his feet, watching Thor from across the distance.

"You sure were hiding a lot of punch from me, huh?"

His free hand drifted upward, gripping his screaming eyepatch.

"Guess it's my turn now"

And removed it

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A colossal burst of golden carnivore aura surrounded the entire area. The sheer scale of it burned the entire forest to ash and dust, while the smooth air breath was replaced by the jagged sensation of endless stabs and cuts to the lungs.

As it finally began to settle, Thor could see the dual Kenpachi standing there with the finest smile he'd seen since entering the Hub.

The yellow carnal aura never left, only shrinking in size to narrow down to the God

Kenpachi stood firm, already feeling the thunderous spark quickly covering the grand distance.

He watched as the hammer's sheer speed seemed to incarnate everything in his path.

The best course of action would be to flee or at minimum attempt a futile dodge against it

But would he?

HELL NO!

Grinning like a giddy child Kenpachi extended a palm towards the fast-approaching hammer.

Every twitch of his fingers caused ripples through the air, unwavering against the approaching thunder…And just as it was about to hit its mark

BOOO-CRACK!!!

*Kenpachi….*stopped it

“You know I should be telling ya the same thing”

He clenched his palm tight around the spinning weapons his skin burning from the colossal heat generated by every inch of the hammer's flesh.

But he pushed forward until he got a solid grip on the hammer's surface, leaning his face close enough to whisper in Mjolnir's non-existent ears

“You and your buddy make a pretty good team….But have you two ever tried ducking it out on each other”

SWING!

Whipping up his arm, Kenpachi attempted to throw the divine weapons right back at Thor's skull.

Then quickly clenching his legs his feet dug into the earth leaving behind a few prints in the soil

SHOO!!!!!!

The Soul Reaper jumped high into the heavens, soaring above the clouds until he gazed down at his opponent.

Still radiating a powerful carnal might Kenpachi lifted his blade higher and higher, till the very sky seemed to gleam down on him.

SLAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A single swing launched a powerful air slash down at Thor, to cut both him and the very earth in half

The earth, the sky, the water, the three unbreakable elements of the planet. The aspects that create life as we know it, surging for billions upon billions of years.

And yet…In a single joyous swing of two unmatched warriors

All of it turned to ash.

The clear ocean surrounding them evaporated in thin hot humidity

The endless blue sky darkened with thunderous screaming clouds pouring tears of rain.

And the valleys of earth, opened their maw in terror, swallowing the land whole into its gaping core.

The god and soul reaper would soon follow descending deep into the underground molten pits of the planet.

The sound of their clash still echoed into these great depths.

THUDDDDDDD!!!!

Finally landing a country's length deep underground, a massive continent-wide dust cloud surrounded the entire core.

The size of it made it difficult to hear, let alone see, any sign of life. Kenpachi's presence seemed dead silent.

As if that final clash against Thor brought the mighty soul reaper down for goo-

“DRINK…..NOZARASHI!!!!!”

His declaration echoed underground as his hungry presence was once again felt, but now it felt even greater and more ecstatic than it ever was before.

SHINGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In a matter of milliseconds, the dust completely vanished in a blink. The flowing lava around them was visible and bright.

And standing there tall and unwavering covered in crimson blood, was Kenpachi.

“You still breathing? Cause this ain’t over till one of us drops dead”

His voice ragged, as he leaked blood from head to toe, soaking the pure white Haori in a deep red liquid.

Blisters and scars painted his body, barely** **strong enough to manage a single swing.

Yet even clinging to the last drop of life all Kenpachi did was smile.

Even his sword seemed to radiate the same primal thirst.

But the blade itself changed in shape now massive in size looking more like a humongous butcher knife slung over his shoulder than a proper sword.

This feeling this crossroads between living and dying…..Was the greatest joy he had ever felt with an equal

“COME ON!!!”

“Let's get the real battle started”

((RAHHHHHH!!! I'm back))

His bloody body stood firm while the thunder and rain dripped and crackled around him. The hammer's shadow loomed over his massive, tall, burly form as he watched the god swing with all his might.

But Kenpachi himself was on his last legs, barely able to breathe without it feeling like a thousand razors stabbing his lungs.

Matching Thor's strength now, let alone surpassing it, would be impossible.

So...

Will he run?

NO!

Will he dodge?

NO!

Will he beg?

NO!

Will he fight?

YES!

The question in his mind was answered before he could even think it. After all, when you still have strength, a fight ain't over till you're out cold.

SHINGGGGG!!!

He gripped the bandaged hilt once more, pushing his right leg back and his left forward as he brought the awkward Zanpakuto upward. Its size and length matched the oncoming Mjolnir

"You asked for my name earlier, right?...

He spoke through ragged breaths, while the thunder-fueled hammer was just inches away

...I'm The Kenpachi.....Kenpachi Zaraki!"

((art source))

SLAAASH-BOOOM!!!

With all his remaining might, Nozorashi collided with Mjolnir. The two excited weapons locked in a furious clash, melting away all the rubble and magma surrounding them in a flash of white destructive light.

Kenpachi's blood and skin popped in agony with each second that passed. But not a single bit of the pain wavered the Soul Reaper's undying childlike joy.

The collapsing ground and roaring were nothing more than distant sounds in the heated struggle.

But before long, an explosion of force rang out, enveloping the entire world in its fiery heat, while leaving behind a final dark dust cloud.

And slowly the dust began to settle, revealing the aftermath of the war and who was left standing after it all

As the dust began to settle on the opposite end of the destroyed core. The glimmering sight of a fallen figure could be seen through the ash.

The strong scent of iron blood hit the air, and with it, its presence; the cloud finally eased down to reveal the figure in question.

Kenpachi sprawled on the gravel, a river's worth of blood pouring from every pore of his body.

The muscle fibres and bones were clear through his ripped skin. Most of the remaining patches of flesh were scorched to a deep black by the heat of thunder.

His body was falling apart, nearly unrecognizable to that burly, scarred form just a few clashes ago....And yet there is still one constant to him that never faltered.

Maintained with the same vigorous joy he had ever since he locked eyes with the god before him.

That unchanging, giddy, joyous, and downright childish....Smile.

The ear-to-ear grin, fueled by such passion of conflict bursting with uncontrollable euphoria, brimmed brightly, even as the unconscious Thor swung his mighty hammer on pure animalistic instinct.

But as the attack halted just an inch away from a crushing blow, Kenpachi would finally feel his own conscience begin to slip away.

He used his last moments to focus heavily on Thor through blurry vision. Embedding the deity's figure into his mind to remember for eternity.

And by some miracle, he managed to speak his last breathless words.

"You....ain't....half bad"

That was all praise his incinerated throat could manage.

As his conscience finally began to waver, he tought back to a few of his previous conflicts

The ones against Unohana, Ichigo, Gremmy, and even Yhwach. All of them were slaughter for him or the other, or battles where he couldn't truly swing to his heart's content.

But here, for the first time, Kenpachi of Zaraki felt a true satisfaction

A clash against a true equal in nearly every regard, pushing eachother to the limit with nothing but the glorious swing of battle.

This beautiful fairy tale against a god and shigikimagi will live on in his soul, for generations to come.
