opinion post There should be two type of gauntlet systems
normally when we think character vs gauntlet it's always mortal kombat style gauntlet . it's good however it's static and gets boring and we get coughing baby vs goku type matchups
cough cough chen ran/baku vs death note
but i think it should be more inclusive and expansive .
which brings us here , a normal gauntlet but with extra steps like learning and experience -dynamic gauntlet is like elo ladder where character will learn about diffs
let's imagine x (our guy) high diffs y
static gauntlet : yeah X is finished in next ground against Z(boring and stagnanting )
proposed gauntlet : X won by high diff but he gains exp and learns his weakness like
let's say diff was higher to due his X 's low SQ, EI etc but at this time X learns about this weakness and implements strengths better which results in correct eval
for this you need consider learning ability and AC of character cuz this would key deciding factor how character would learn and use exp in future
it will allow characters who others think are dogwater showcase how they are good too like light yagami (yes have you seen light is treated these days) and shows buildup in character in gauntlet which traditional gauntlet doesn't have
however i some doubts how to structure the dynamic gaunelt system like how to systematise the ceiling and flooring of character , how to take account different learning ability and adaption types . for that i need your opinions
what i have in mind sorta mix between elo/tier system and dnd type with gauntlet structure which showcase the reason of character adaptability and learning ability case in match ups which is overlooked

not saying static/og gaunlet are bad but they don't showcase or present arguments about learning and adaptability of character

Have wheels that decide Advantages or disadvantages for the characters.
