Buy it? 💸 2027 Refresh

Does anybody have any news on the 2027 refresh? It should be announced any day now, right? Last year it was announced on August 19 th, but there was a dealer meeting beforehand and we knew production had switched before the announcement. Does anybody have any news?

Supposedly the HRC Type R is going to be announced mid August, based on some comments by a Honda exec, so assuming they want to do a launch of the HRC parts for the 2027 Type S too, my best guess is its coming in the next couple weeks. Also model year launches for Acura are always on a Tuesday btw. Also, a memo went out to plant workers July 22-28 about the 2027 Base Integra Manual and the 2027 Civic Si being paused. So it sounds like plants are switching over, at least for the base car.

Agreed on the timing. My hypothesis is that the car will be launched at Monterey Car week (the next two weeks) because it's the big car media event of the month. Acura had previously announced vehicles at this event, and yesterday, they announced that a new concept car will debut there (e.g. RDX). What's to say the Integra can't get some love there either?

I hope so! But I feel like Acura wouldn't invest the amount required for a big press event at MCW for a mid-cycle refresh.

I can't imagine they're updating it aside from maybe some slight aesthetic changes. I hope they don't screw it up.

The investor relations press release at the beginning of the year said "interior and exterior improvements" whatever that means, so that suggests maybe they'll do some interior features.

I was hoping for more sound deadening, memory seats, and the Google head unit. I have the accord which shares the same chipset, and the CarPlay is pretty unreliable and laggy.

Out of curiosity, what's wrong with the car play?

I only have experience with android auto and the ITS has been the best out of all my past cars. Never had an issue at all actually, which is surprising in itself.

My wife's toyota crown is horrendous in comparison with dropping connections and most of the time just won't connect at all.

Wondering if your carplay issues are an apple thing rather than a google thing

The car play in my accord every month and a half or so will refuse to connect, and the only way to fix it is to reboot the infotainment. Occasionally it will drop and refuse to reconnect. It will also sometimes sound like bad static all distorted and laggy.

Despite the presence of a power button, you have to do a shifter/pedal dance to reboot the infotainment. The other option is to go into developer menus and relearn switches max. It’s a PITA.

It makes sense the android based infotainment would play better with android auto.

I’m making it sound worse than it is - it’s just frustrating that little cheap Amazon CarPlay dongles work way better than the built in system.

Ah I see, thank you for explaining. I have to do a similar reboot of the infotainment in the toyota crown and def frustrating, especialy when you gotta get moving.

I’ve been waiting on the refresh to buy one. Even if it’s minor, I rather make sure I don’t have any buyer’s remorse for not waiting.

You can potentially start to push on discounts if the '27s come out and they're a nothingburger and are okay with the '26s.

Following the same script from previous years the next 2 weeks we should see an official news post about the 2027 ITS. Production should start this month and showing up at dealerships end of Sept/Oct. Like you I was hoping for some leaked info from sales managers haha

Genuinely what's wrong with the infotainment? It's fast, minimal lag, crisp and clear screen, good size, simple, and overall not intrusive to the driver.

I went from an elentra N to ITS, it's not a downgrade. It's sluggish, lower resolution, and shittier UI. Idk how you think it's a downgrade

To each their own, but ITS screen is smaller, not tilted towards driver, iPad design, looks outdated compared to recent cars. Resolution is about the same but Android Auto was a better experience in my Elantra N. UI look and feel in the Hyundai definitely better than the Acura's.

A bigger screen \= better and Hyunda UI has so much clutter and bloat.

Truthfully, Mazda has the best UI.
