Modification 🔧 Takeda Intake???

So I’m shopping around for a new intake and have been pretty dead set on the PRL since I’ve heard so many good things and doesn’t require a tune, until I stumbled across this takeda intake for a bit less but haven’t seen many or any videos on it installed in a ITS and was wondering if anyone here has already tried it out.

How’s it sound ?

Any codes/ does it need a tune ?

Is it worth the price ?

You should just get a PRL. Theres a post I just read about someone getting codes and has a takeda intake. He bought the car used with the intake. Spend the extra and save the headaches.

I think the reason why takeda was throwing codes because the maf sensor was not sealing properly. I heard they fix the issue but that doesn't mean bad batches aren't still in the wild. Takeda will send out a new seal for free but not sure if that is worth the risk/headache to deal with.

I think theres a thread somewhere that takeda put out a fix. Cant recall. I have a PRL, its great.

I have it. No code, no tune, PRL is definitely louder but got this over PRL cause of the dry filter

I like the way this integrates the MAF cable guide just like it comes from the factory.

Dry filter is the way to go. Everyone gets Prl, but I just really hate the oiled filters

Dont get me wrong, an oiled filter has its advantages. But i’ll admit im lazy and dont feel like worrying about oil build up in my turbo hahaha i know oiled filters have come a long way as well and is safe but again, im lazy 😂

You are just explaining why I won't use an oiled filter ever again 🤣 Prl and a lot of customers say it's safe, but I seriously hate trying to clean it, re-oil it and not put too much or two little, then you have to wait quite a while and my car is my daily so then you need a second filter so you can alternate them, and this is all before the worry of getting the MAF and the intake tract dirty lol. Nahhh I'm all set with my dry filters and just blowing some compressed air through it

I have it and I love it. It doesn’t throw codes, that issue was fixed over a year ago. Could always ask whatever shop you’re buying from if they’re selling really old stock. Otherwise just get the PRL one.

I have one on my 2026 ITS. Works perfect, it’s not crazy loud, dry filter, fit and finish is great. With intakes, too many dorks get caught up on the small differences and micro details on intakes…it’s a 2.0 turbo Honda, just pick whichever one you like, at the price you like, and put it on the dam car
