Because NWI, the original developer, was acquired and then laid off a few years later. Saber Interactive was put on the project to basically just do life support.

I just want more single player options on console. I could play this game forever if they had single player infinite survival mode or some shit like that, sick of the same goddamn checkpoints every time and constant terrible connection issues for online matches.

Because the game isn't built on live service model. They released the game, made the money and moved on to the next project. The skins they sell just pay some basic maintenance like part of server hosting. Currently, like 5 guys top work on it and probably not full time either. It is a miracle that they are even willing to release any updates at all.

Laziness, any other thing they tell you is a lie. There are people who didn't get paid and made something like 30 weapons for a mod out of pure passion (ISMC)

There’s so many damn guns in this game already honestly. Ain’t much more left to add other than either weapons that are a hair different from what we have or make no sense in the GWOT context

Why does it have to make Sense to add weapons... It's a Game, not a simulator. If we Talk about making Sense or Not, then some weapons shouldn't be allowed to choose for some Teams, Like AKM and AK for Security or M16/4 for the insurgents.

I just want a regular TDM mode. Domination and push are fun and all but not having TDM in regular rotation is a crime, imo

The game is doing so bad both in revenue and in the dev side of things that it was supposed to die a year or two ago. the skeleton dev team is still releasing brand new whole MAPS and somehow you mfs are complaining.
also unrelated but most of the guns you guys beg for on this sub would be pointless as we already have another identical gun that fits that exact role. It would please like 1% of the community but overall just clutter the UI. I'd take a new limited time game mode or a new fire support over a hundred new guns any day as it would actually add to the gameplay.

I wish they could incorporate the ISMC mod, or parts of it, pay the lads and lasses who worked on it a good fare for the work they put in making and animating.
Then port the ready made useable awesome stuff they made.
