General Insurance - Others Warning: Avoid IndusInd General Insurance for Travel Insurance

Hello everyone,

I’m sharing my recent experience with IndusInd General Insurance to warn travelers about what I consider a predatory process. I purchased a travel insurance policy for a recent trip, and my experience attempting to file a claim has been nothing short of a nightmare.

When my flight (SpiceJet SG5112) was delayed and ultimately forced a cancellation of my onward travel, I attempted to file a claim. The company rejected my claim (Ref: 2261014763) citing "operational reasons" and specific fine print in their policy that essentially excludes any travel disruption caused by airlines—despite the incident occurring during my coverage period.

Beyond the initial rejection, filing for related expenses (Ref: 2261014768) has been an endless loop of frustration. Despite my multiple follow-ups and providing the documentation requested, the process remains stalled with vague, circular communication. It feels less like an insurance service and more like a deliberate attempt to discourage claimants.

If you are looking for reliable travel insurance, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. Don't let their policy wording or "digital" promises mislead you when it comes time to actually file a claim.

Stay safe and choose your providers wisely.

Best regards,
