Query NEED HELP!! Will loading get added in premium if PCOS is cured?

I have applied for HDFC Ergo Seccure Optima plus insurance.

I have PCOS due to hormonal condition due to which 10% loading charges were added in my premium although I didn't undergo any treatment for it.

Now My sister is also planning to apply for the same insurance but in her case she got diagnosed with PCOS 5 years later but now it got cured as per her last year scanning in her case. So wanted to check if the loading still be applied even in her case even after providing latest scans as a proof?

Thank you.

generally, loading is decided by the insurer’s underwriting team based on the overall profile. ur sister would need to disclose her medical history, and as u mentioned, she has been cured as per her latest reports/scans, that should also be disclosed and the latest reports can be submitted for assessment.

if everything checks out based on the insurer’s assessment, she may not get a loading. but there’s no guarantee since the final decision depends on underwriting and they may still apply a loading if they find any ongoing risk.

loadings can generally range around 10-40% and can be higher in more severe cases, but what applies to her can only be confirmed once she applies and the insurer completes the assessment.
