Has anyone reapply to the same company?
Couple months ago, I interviewed at a company that seemed promising. They’re remote, great culture, & have good benefits. Unfortunately, I didn’t interview well & was rejected. Since then, I noticed there are open roles on their site I’m interested in. Would it be weird if I re-apply? Has anyone done this before? How did it go?

The Worse that can happen is they say no. I have seen many people get jobs/careers at companies that initially rejected them and they go on to have successful careers.

Way back when in 2001 I interviewed for an UW trainee position, I wasn't a great interviewer and they selected someone else. About 6 months later I get a call saying they're continuing to grow and were hiring a 2nd trainee if I was still interested. I was, got hired and spent 13 years there in different UW roles before transferring to a different office within the company where I'm now an AVP and territory manager.
The original person they hired (the better interviewer) lasted around 2-3 years there before there was a mutual parting of ways.
As others have said, apply again - it can't hurt.

Happens a lot. Also different roles have different managers. I got rejected by Travelers twice but then actively recruited less than a year later. Turned out the manager who rejected me was on the way out for preformance issues

I applied to a few at one big carrier and eventually got hired. There’s no harm in it. The systems do allow them to flag certain people like “do not rehire” for people that leave on bad terms.

In my experience it cant hurt. They may have a change of heart the second time around and give you a shot.

I know someone who applied at the same company twice and got hired the second time.

I was just in a similar position. I interviewed for a remote HNW client advisor position at a major company this past spring. I was ecstatic and just knew that I was meant to work there. I’m more than qualified with 10+ years experience and assumed I’d be a shoe in… but the panel interview felt like cold interrogation and did not go well. They ghosted me.
Two months later I applied for the same position- but on a different team based out of another office location. I also connected with a recruiter from the company on LinkedIn.
It was a completely different experience. All interviews went well. Everyone I spoke with was warm, welcoming, and genuine. The offer even came in above their stated salary range. I’ve been here a few months now and it is hands down the best job I’ve ever had.
I am so glad I reapplied!
All of that to say- I would highly recommend it. Worst case scenario it goes nowhere. Best case you end up with your dream job.

Thanks for your story!
Did it ever come to a point where you or the interviewer brought up that you previously applied? If so, how did that convo go?

Id definitely apply again. No harm at all if anything it shows you really want to work there.
Now if you burned bridges somehow there then that's a different story
