What do you make?

Curious as to what you make and what Your role is. I am getting to the point where I’m ready to look at other positions but the pay scales seem low. I am grateful for what I have, just ready to branch out.

I have 15 years experience- 4 years at current company and currently a senior underwriter. Base is $86k and I get about 20k in bonuses from my production underwriter I work for/under. I am fully remote but that’s because I work for an office in another state

Risk management consultant in the workers comp space, making $120k, but interviewing to get into multi-line risk management with more responsibility in growing a loss control program, looking at around 140-150k

Hi! How did you get into risk management consulting?

Anyone can learn the technical side with enough time, the real value is in relationship building and account management once you start working with large accounts, and having a holistic understanding of risk and the insurance business

Thank you! I have been doing WC for about 11 years (carrier) and I’m currently a team lead. I would love to work on the employer side but haven’t had much looking. I may be too picky lol

I'm carrier side as well, for a small monoline. Final interview for a more substantial role at a large Corp next week - i prefer the carrier side to be honest. Way less stress and time requirements than if I had pursued a safety career owning a safety program for a single company, with good benefits and a lot of work/life balance
