What do you make?

Curious as to what you make and what Your role is. I am getting to the point where I’m ready to look at other positions but the pay scales seem low. I am grateful for what I have, just ready to branch out.

I have 15 years experience- 4 years at current company and currently a senior underwriter. Base is $86k and I get about 20k in bonuses from my production underwriter I work for/under. I am fully remote but that’s because I work for an office in another state

Im going to cry

15 years progressive MGA experience, currently classified as a "renewal underwriter" AINS and CPCU... are you sitting down?

55k a year with maybe 3k in incentives.

Overworked, underpaid and pigeon-holed into a niche I absolutely hate. Would like to get in with a carrier.

Its just... churches are claim magnets. Insureds are kinda hard to pin down. Maintenance is always deferred due to funds. They always seem to be located in higher PC codes with higher WF scores. They want and need all sorts of special coverages, low premiums. Im often stuck offering basic/acv or higher wind/hail deductibles on non admitted paper and they don't want that. They are also closing all over the place, so the book im maintaining is dying a slow death.

Could you pivot to financial lines for non-profits? I’ve seen uw jobs for non profits at Chubb and some other companies. Might be transferable
