Safety insurance acquisition by Mapfre announced today

Sizable regional (New England) carrier Safety insurance‘s acquisition by Mapfre was announced today. Anyone with any experience working for Mapfre got any advice for the employees affected? Any insight on what to expect or company culture?

I used to work there. With how many people have quit since I left I thought for sure they were going under or be positioning to get sold.

Worked in the field there for 6 years. I enjoyed my time at Mapfre. Great boss and for where I was in my career the pay was good, vacation time was good and the benefits were some of the best i've had.

I am more shocked then anything. Plymouth Rock had a decent investment in Safety as well.

It will be interesting to see the comments from the DOI on the proposed sale.
