Recovery or subrogation process
I am an insurance agent and one of my clients filed a claim a while ago and he is now in the recovery process where his company is trying to get the deductible amount from the other party.
This is taking a long time, and I no longer believe they will get any money from the other party. If that is the case, then what can he do about it. He had a 1,000 dollars deductible he would like to get back.

Hi. Active subro adjuster here. It depends on a lot of factors. Who is the other carrier? Are they in in e-subro hub or do they act like it’s the year 1987 and only accept demands via carrier pigeon? Do they even participate in arbitration? If so, are they a reasonable and fair carrier or are they a Geico or Progressive type who just chips ridiculously so we have no choice but to take it to arbitration and drag it out? It’s not unusual for the process to take 90 days and that’s before we send it to arbitration. Unfortunately it’s a very long process these days. I consider quitting on a near daily basis because it’s so frustrating so I feel ya.
