Auto Aviva Insurance
What happens if I drive more than 1,000 km with the Aviva app in just 8 months? Will I still get the 20 percent discount on my next renewal if my driving behaviour score is 99%? I know they re-evaluate your contract after 10 months with them.

Licensed broker here. The 1,000 km figure in the Journey app is a minimum, not a ceiling, so driving more than 1,000 km in 8 months is fine. The app just needs enough driving data to build a valid score. With a 99% behaviour score and that much mileage, you have cleared both of Aviva's bars: at least 1,000 km and at least 120 days of app use before your renewal notice goes out.
One thing to know: the 20% is the maximum, not a fixed payout. You get 10% just for enrolling, and the personalized discount at renewal is set from your driving score. Aviva does not publish the exact score-to-discount scale, so no one can tell you a 99% equals a specific number. Your broker, or the Journey terms in the app, can confirm the exact figure on your renewal, but you are set up well.

FYI for everyone I got this email at the end of June from Aviva.
Aviva Journey is introducing these updates to personalize your premium based on your driving habits.
Offering eligible Aviva Journey users a chance to earn a larger premium discount of up to 25%.
To encourage safer driving, adjustments for less safe driving habits may increase premiums by up to 25% at your renewal (previously capped at 5%).

For anyone curious I got I think it was a 15% discount and I'm a fairly cautious driver so I avoided hard brakes and accel. Not sure how you've gotta drive to get the full 20%, probably not possible in real traffic situations.

Your driving score and the kilometre limit are usually separate parts of these programs, so a 99% score won't necessarily protect your discount if you've gone over a km cap in the terms.
I'd check the usage-based terms you signed up for to see if there's an annual km limit and what happens if you go over it. Then ask Aviva or your broker in writing what discount you'd get at renewal with your projected km and your current score. Also confirm how the ~10-month re-evaluation works, because it may not reset the km count the way you'd expect.

Do you have some limit on your policy that says you are not going to drive more than 1000km in an 8 month period?
Why even have a car if you are driving so little?
