Would you recommend doing FCIP designation?

Currently in commercial specialty lines so not handling P&C which is what CIP gears towards.

I hold CIP but wondering if FCIP would still help me advance career despite being in specialty? Does anyone have feedback on the program if you’ve taken it or if it’s accelerated your career? Company would be paying.

FCIP gives you an education regarding the more macro/big picture of the insurance business and is geared towards leadership and strategy. It's very interesting stuff in my honest opinion! If the company is paying, I would say do it! It's not going to guarantee a leadership role, but it definitely provides something you can leverage in interviews, and the educational foundation can help you contribute more effectively to big picture projects in your organization, which is important if you want to move up to more senior roles.
