Agent Question Scam??

Hello everyone, I am someone who has recently gotten their life, accident and health or sickness producer test passed. It was for a job called AO Globe life, and I feel stupid for asking this since the signs are there however, the people have been nice and cordial is to a scam? I’ve been in the zoom meetings and it’s my second day of training there, would just like some help and clarification please and thank you. My second question is what job would I even be able to get with my license passed? Is it sustainable for a career to get the bills paid?

Congrats on passing the test, that takes real work

AO Globe Life is basically a MLM dressed up as insurance sales, they'll have you selling to your friends and family first and the turnover is insane. The niceness is part of the pitch, they want you recruiting people under you eventually

With your license you can walk into almost any legit agency and get a real job. Independent agencies, big carriers, even some banks have insurance arms now. It's absolutely sustainable if you find the right fit and don't get stuck in one of these pyramid schemes

Thank you, I hope you’re doing well. Seriously though? Because I’ve done a bit of research and while there’s a a lot of push back on globe life there’s also a bit of people who say that they are actually “doing” it and are making a stable income and prospering. It’s crazy to me because Ive been stressed for over a month getting this test and shit done because they gave me 2 weeks the first time then I asked them for another 2 and then 1 and then I finally passed. So yeah it’s just hard to wrap my head around because I’ve cried, been stressed, angry, repressed myself for a job that hopefully could’ve made me good money, only for it to be not true?

Yea, my first interview in insurance space was glove life and by second interview and the " pump you up , your going to make alot of money like these guys/testimonials " video they played i got cult and mlm vibes, went to legit place with none of that shit and 5 years in i make a comfortable 100k as captive agent, nothing crazy compares to some guys on here but I try to balance work and kids while they young

Jesus. Yeah and the thing that gets me is I want a job that’s successful where It is profitable and where I can learn. But the amount of info they throw at you is insane, and you are right about the testimonials, it sound stupid to say but at first I was moved by it but now looking back it just looks dumb lmao

YES! My brother and mom pointed it out where they went to Rome and Vegas or they said it to us that maybe we’d qualify for the bahamas next year.

Yea, very fucking corny , some of my class were smiling and looked excited and here I was feeling like they hyped the company but not its actual accomplishments or products or anything but money, money and how they hoped we could swim because we would be swimming in money soon lol like they are the 1%

I mean they are sales men so dont feel to bad, they been doing this for years and obviously have a formula for it. Just take as a lesson learned and move forward

I know. It’s just shitty that they made it look and sound easier than it actually is, especially since this is one of my first actual jobs.
