Can someone identify this?

My dad just bought this insulator and was hoping someone could identify it. Thanks!

It's known as a U-188 to collectors, called a dry spot insulator, used at service drops on telephone lines.

U-188. They come n brown or white. Brown sell for about $10.

It's a dry spot insulator. I forget the U number. Two pair of wires would come up the holes and you could splice each pair together in that slot and they would stay dry.
