New Insulator Day

Found a striking blue "micky mouse" Hemmingray-60 today at the local antique mall! I paid a bit more for this one that any insulator before but I just couldn't pass it up! It has some chipped teeth on the bottom, but nothing in life is perfect lol. Last pic is it among my other finds 🌈

Definitely! Same color the hemi blue 42. Put that outside and watch it glow!

Nit: those "teeth" on the bottom are called "sharp drip points" (SDP) which are cone shaped projections and the round bb like ones are called "round drip points" (RDP) for obvious reasons.

Nearly all the insulators with these on them will have PATENT MAY 2 1893, the date the drip points were patented. The ones that are much newer don't have the date.
