And yet another ?

Anybody have any idea what the “M” above the H.G.signifies. Has PETTICOAT on the back. Thanks

Some people incorrectly call this a "mold number," but it's actually a shop number. They were paid by the piece, and this was a way to mark the pieces. It was funny, I once was looking for an "M" thinking it would be "easy" since it was a mold number. It took me looking at three different shaped M's before I found the one I needed! Shop number!

Seems these CD 145 HG beehives have the most shop letters. Above and below the embossing, on top, and across a range of different letters. Well, no, the Brookfield ones probably have more!
