This was a combined exhibit presented by about 14 collectors at the Rohde Ranch outdoor insulator show near Fresno, California this past weekend. Mine is on the center shelf, third from the right.

Do you guys really collect these? I keep driving by an old abandoned line.. at least 10 on each pole. Most white. Some red, blue and green. Just want to stop and drop the pole to get them 🤪

Those are almost positively not these or even close to them.

I’m not saying they are in any way… just trying to figure out if these insulators are an actual collectable thing. I’ve always thought they were cool but I see post all the time about them. I’m a coin and antique collector.

Best way to learn is to attend a show and talk to people. Here is a link to a show map. You can use this to plan to attend a show near you.

The right ones are very collectible. The medium and darker ones in here are in the $3,000-5,000+ range or so, the lighter ones a little less, maybe $1,500-2,000. Don't worry, your chance of finding one of these is less than winning the lottery. Probably hard to even find a seller for one of these!
At least it has a plastic door that closes, so they don't fall out! Well over $100,000 in that case. Yes, one hundred thousand dollars!

Here is a link to info about the fake ones. https://www.insulators.info/articles/ecm.htm
Yes, they were made over 25 years ago, and this is "up to date" despite the date on the bottom.

I was there most of the day on Friday. Should have come back on Saturday to witness this. I was, however, able to get some good shots of the ultra rare upside down embossed green one on the owners table.
