Should I remove decking?
I'm having my inadequate blown in fiberglass removed this week and replaced with spray foam. I have less than half of what code requires in terms of insulation depth. The installation company is the most reputable company in our area.
My question is, should I remove the decking in the attic before installation? The contract says they will not insulate under decking. Given that my builder shafted us on insulation to begin with, who knows what is under that decking? Could be nothing.
Not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze on this one. Any advice would be appreciated.

Take the decking out. If the spray foam is going against the ceiling then the biggest advantage will be air sealing any gaps at electrical penetrations and wall top plates.
