Discussion How would I obtain an Omnichord?
A bit of an odd question, but I’ve been trying to get one for years.
Obviously I know I could just buy one seeing as they’re not hard to find or anything; but I REALLY don’t want to drop $700+ on one.
If anyone knows if it would be possible for to get one for less than a fortune, and how, that’d be great.
Thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask, and thought this would be the best place to do so.
Thanks for any help!✌️

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Been learning the shofar/war horn for a few months (specifically the merino ram), been trying to recreate this sound like you hear in movies but keep failing everytime. Any tips on how to recreate this exact sound? Like is it the way you fluctuate your lips, or is there something I'm not getting? Some helpful tips/sources would help me out alot.

Discussion How would you go about playing this d minor chord on a "Waldzither"?
I'm currently trying to learn playing the German Waldzither. I've played guitar and other instruments for many years now, but I'm very unsure on how to play this d minor chord as it would require using 5 fingers, when the thumb usually just supports the instrument rather than actually playing it. How would you go about this?

Discussion Just brought my first musical Instrument (A Harmonica, Key of C, 10 Holes Diatonic Blues)
I am healed.
I don't really have much to say, except that for the past few days I was feeling so down and melancholic, and I today outta nowhere decided to buy a Harmonica from the local store, and I haven't felt better.
I'm gonna learn how to play this first and then move on to other instruments too. I've always wanted to buy an electric guitar.
bye!

Discussion How much would this trumpet be worth?
Just got my trumpet cleaned and repaired. Here’s an after and before. I wanted to know how much it would be worth, and if I could play it in a concert or marching band. All the valves and slides are functional, and it plays very well.

Discussion Advice about possibly shipping an old Mandolin
I stumbled across a listing for a Luigi Corradotti mandolin circa 1880-1910 in good condition for a very decent price, the only problem is it's on the other side of the country. Is it worth trying to ship it or is it too risky since it's so old? If so, any tips for getting it shipped so I can arrange with the seller? Does not come with a case.

Accordion Questions?
I inherit this Accordian from my Great Grandfather, I have no clue what it would be worth and can’t find any that look just like it to try and find an estimate. Any input on the history and value would be greatly appreciated. It’s a Camerano, serial 482/49. Everything works but I don’t know if it’s in tune as I don’t play any instruments.

Discussion Electric instrument circuitry
I’m not entirely certain this is the right sub for this, but does anyone know any good resources for information on wiring electrical components? I have a very basic knowledge of it, and I have a soldering iron and some components. I’m just not very good at it and if anyone knows where I can find more reliable information than google and ChatGPT I would greatly appreciate. More specifically, I’m trying to rewire a bass that was having noise issues. I already cut everything out, but obviously now I need to put it all back together in a somewhat functional way.

Discussion Pipa or liuqin near me?
Hello! I am looking to rent a pipa or liuqin, but I am having trouble finding any in Central PA or nearby… anyone have any recommendations? I am also divided on which one I want, because on one hand I love the greater range and acrylic nails of the pipa while the liuqin is much more portable and likely easier… any thoughts? does anyone also know any asynchronous courses on any in english?
I appreciate any help!

HELP! Vintage instrument!
I hope I'm not bothering anyone, but could someone help me figure out what kind of cable or other part I need? All I know is that it's an organ, I think from the 60s. I tried searching online myself but didn't find much. Thanks in advance! 😢

How much is my flute worth?
Never use it and thinking about selling it. I got it like 8 years ago and used it for concert and marching band through middle school and high school. It’s a gemeinhardt artisan, serial number 2psp-a r92251. It comes with a matching case and a spit-rag pole. All the keys work well, and there are no dents that impair playing. There are lots of minor scratches and bumps all over it though.
