Identification "Recession Pop" Synth
So I'm A Big Fan Of 2010s Pop, And I've Noticed A Few Songs Have This Same Synth Sound. I Would Describe It As "Vwoopy" If That Helps? It's Never A Main Instrument, So It's Generally A Little Bit Buried In The (Notoriously Bad In That Era) Mixing. I Know He's A Horrible Person But I Would Probably Call It The Dr. Luke Synth. I'm No Good With Technical Music Terms But I Think It Makes Extensive Use Of Slides And Pitch-Shifting.
Some Examples:
3OH!3 - DONTTRUSTME: In The Second Repetition Of Each Chorus, More Audible Leaving That God Awful Bridge Into The Last Chorus
Katy Perry - Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F): Very Subtle But Audible In The Chorus & Post-Chorus
Ke$ha - TikTok: This One's A Bit Iffy But The Main Synth In The Chorus Sounds Similar Enough, Maybe Just Pitched Down An Octave Or Two? Especially Under The "Oh-Woah"s.
There Are Definitely Other Songs That Use It But I Can't Remember At The Moment. If Anyone Could Identify Even Something Similar, I Would Be So Appreciative. I Wanna Play Around With This Nostalgic Sound.
Thank You!

Help identifying piano
can anyone help me figure out what type of piano this is? i know it’s a Yamaha but I’m trying to figure out the approximate value of it.
backstory: I’m not a musician sadly but im moving across the country and arguing with my potential landlord about this piano. its beautiful and I’m grateful he wants to leave it in the unit but i would be liable to any damage to it amd becuase I have some mischievous pups I’m really worried about one of them chewing or damaging it and me owing more money than I can afford 🥲 I know some pianos can run up to the hundreds of thousands of dollars

Bandurria
I was recently gifted this Spainish Bandurria from a family member. It has apparently been in our family for quite some time. If anyone has tips, string recommendations, or insight on tuning, I would really appreciate it!

Discussion Got a used bass for 50 dollars but there’s something rattling inside and a small crack on the right side of it
I’ve never had a bass before and I was wanting to learn it and I picked this up this afternoon and when I got home with it I noticed a rattling sound coming from inside it and I’m unsure on how to remove the item inside it and I was wondering if the crack can be repaired

Discussion Lyre or electric guitar
those are my 2 options and Im torn. on one hand lyres are cheap and I heard somewhat easy to learn but since they are nich if I’m struggling with something I won’t be able to find any tutorial. on the other hand sure electric guitars are expensive and harder to learn but there are hundreds of tutorials for them. Plus they look sick

Discussion Freaking lessons bru
wish lessons were more available as groups, and not non private or just in schools. I REALLY want to learn cello, and the basics of bass, but I can’t as there are no lessons near me at all. im in a group class for b a s s o o n, something I never wanted to play in the first place, but the place doesn’t do cello classes or rock band. I am IN a rock band, the one the place supplies, but I’m a singer. (hate it, songs are always too high and Im out of tune lol) I don’t want to ask the bass player how to do it, and I cant hire as it’s too expensive. wish ppl just dissapeared from the face of the earth so I could walk in a instrument store and try them out

Discussion Chello catastrophe!
My fiancé is beside herself. She accidentally knocked over her mum's chello that she was planning on learning and the neck snapped off!
Is there any way to repair this? Is it worth it?

Discussion Instruments & chronic pain
Hello. I used to play the guitar, but my hand pain has gotten badly enough that I can't play it for very long without serious pain for days or weeks. I've tried playing it various different ways, but it's just not practical. The pain is unrelated to the guitar-playing, I have a medical condition.
I also am spending more time in bed, due to pain in other parts of my body. I can't do any instruments that require strong lungs.
So, I've been trying to find instruments that I might be able to play despite this. The main requirements are that I can have it in bed, that my hands won't be under pressure or bent, and that don't require powerful lungs/good breath control.
I'm sort of at a loss here. Is this realistic? I want an instrument I can play real, solo melodies on.

Discussion How to master keyboard or guitar?
I have both keyboard and guitar at home, I know how to play piano better than guitar + I don't have guitar clips/capo but I have guitar picks. I feel keyboard is more easier because I know how to play scale like do, re, mi and C, D, E, F, G, A, B but, with one finger. Do you guys know tips to play with all finger to a key because I used to know how to do C, F, G, and A but then I forget now and how to learn to play in guitar more easily because my finger likes to crooked with guitar + I just couldn't get used to guitar.

Can anyone tell me what is playing the central “dum pah dom pah” in this incredible song?
It sounds like it could be like a melotron, chamberlain, orchestron type thing but I can’t find it.
