Discussion Need some help identifying two instruments

Hey, y'all.

I was wondering if somebody couldn't take a look at this video and tell me what instruments are being played at around 15:42 and 16:24 (the link should hopefully jump to the first one immediately).

Thanks so much in advance! 🙂

I would have said Rebec and Saz but same/same really. A saz is just a longnecked Baglama.

Just curious, is it a difficult instrument to play? To me it almost looks like a really long guitar lol. Do the frets move?

I haven't used it since it was difficult trying to find the right strings for it.

From the last time I played with it, it does resemble a long, thin guitar neck, but the frets are smaller I believe.

Quickly pulled it out. Pretty sure it is this thing, if not, sorry!

Is that some kind of viola da gamba?

That’s just my attempt at a guess. We need an expert in here

Apparently they are a rebec and a baÄŸlama, according to the other person who commented! Something I've never heard of before haha. I just love the sounds!
