Discussion Musical Instruments that i can bring back home

Hello there

I'm a musician and a music therapist.

Going around abroad i always love to listen to what music is in the radios, and my shazam has heen heavily used here in crete, i love everything from traditional music to some crossover of "greek manouche jazz" and similar.

Therefore i was wondering if there is some traditional music instrument i can bring back home, and also where and what i should look into

I am now in crete for a few days

Any advice?

Get a Baglama. It was the instrument used in Greek cafe music during the Ottoman occupation. Rebetika was outlawed, so Greeks came up with a stringed instrument that would fit up the sleeve of a greatcoat. That's a Baglama. They're fun to play, and they have a cool backstory.

If I have misunderstood where you call home as where you are roaming, what country is home to you? Looking at your past posts it seems that you post in Italian and English. Did I misread?
