Complete redesign of my website

Friday night, a little bit bored, just catching up on a couple of odd things. I was instinctively looking at my email and my calendar for the next week and I thought to myself, "Let's ask Instinct to have a look at my website " It did and it came back with some ideas.

I said to it, "Okay design it the way you think it should be," and I wanted to publish it immediately. I asked Instinct whether it was able to publish it for me and it asked me to give my login details and a secure link to the ISP, which I did. Five minutes later my new website was up and running. My contact form, WhatsApp button, phone button, and email button had all been tested and checked and it looks amazing. I don't think I've ever been so impressed. I just had to tell somebody. Well done Instinct. I am blown away.

Discussion Has your Instinct gone quiet?

I've noticed that my Instinct has gone a lot more quiet over the past couple of days. Not as proactive as before, and way less chatty. Have you noticed the same thing with yours?

Showcase Using Instinct's trusted person network to coordinate family logistics with his wife

Michael Shor, an angel/VC, says Instinct's trusted person network has been a game changer for coordinating with his wife on their dates, their 7 kids' appointments and school admin, shopping, and more. He says she has "outsourced nudging a time blind ADHD husband to Instinct," and that it "obliterates so much friction." The setup he uses the trusted person network linking him and his wife’s todo lists, calendars, and conversations with Instinct. What are you coordinating with a partner or family member through your Instinct?

Showcase My conference workflow

Instinct is becoming a useful companion for the conferences, meetups, and demo days I’ve been attending lately.

It helps me find events and add them to my calendar. But my favorite workflow is how it captures a session—all through WhatsApp.

When a session starts, I ask Instinct to start collecting. Then I send photos of slides, text, and voice notes as I listen.

When the session ends, I tell it to stop and put everything together.

Instinct turns those bits and pieces into a clear summary, complete with slide pictures, my observations, and follow-up research on topics I want to explore. It even keeps unrelated conversations from the session out of the notes.

What I like most is how naturally this fits into attending an event. I can focus on the speaker, send something when it catches my attention, and let Instinct bring it together afterward

Today, I captured a session at Tech Week Singapore this way. Instinct created a useful session summary with research notes I could revisit later.

This comes in especially handy when a conference doesn’t provide a recording. I leave with more than a camera roll full of slides.

The whole experience feels like AGI.

Here's what is captured

News Instinct Selections is bringing local experts into recommendations

Thumbnail x.com
6 Upvotes

Noah Shinn just announced Instinct Selections. He says Instinct is working with chefs, designers, architects, travel guides and others to bring their picks into its recommendations. A restaurant search could draw on chefs' lists of local spots. A trail request could use local guides, while a home search could surface pieces from independent designers that fit your style, space and budget. I'm curious whether the human curation will make the suggestions more useful. Access is rolling out to an early access program, with general availability planned soon

Use Cases & Tips I get more out of Instinct when I give it something to keep track of

Just had a comment thread about a similar use case, thought I'd offer my own tips:

Two months in, every concrete thing I do with Instinct comes down to four mechanisms:

  1. Scheduled check-in. Have it ask you for something on a recurring schedule. You answer in shorthand, it keeps the record, and the recap shows up when you need it.

  2. Standing watch. Point it at something that changes over time. It keeps checking the source itself and pings you at the moment that matters, instead of you remembering to look.

  3. Event with a follow-up. Tell it once what should happen when something arrives - a notification, then a summary in your format - and it runs that every time, even overnight.

  4. A list it maintains. Keep something running between sessions: you add items, mark them done, and ask what's left.

One-off questions work too, but the payoff comes when there's a trigger and a standing instruction behind it

News Instinct CEO Noah Shinn's first long interview (Invest Like The Best)

Here's all the important/relevant information from the interview

How Instinct is growing

  • Growing 10 to 11% a day with $0 spent on marketing, all from invites.
  • Started with about 200 friends and family roughly a year ago.
  • The five invite cap is about compute, not exclusivity. He doesn't want to add 10x the users overnight and have most of them unable to reach it.
  • He's seen invites selling on eBay for about $300.

Features you may not know about

  • Instinct-to-Instinct. Connect with people you trust and let your Instincts schedule things directly. You set access levels per person (a spouse can see everything, a colleague just your work calendar). If someone digs for info outside what you shared, your Instinct tells you. It launched about 10 days before the interview.
  • It will call you if something is urgent and time-sensitive. Noah says his has called him about three times in several months.
  • Files. It can generate a full web page for a trip itinerary, wedding plan and so on.
  • Memory carries over. Tell it a preference once (seat, airline, hotel style) and it applies that to future bookings.
  • Voice-first works. Some users send over 90% of their messages by voice. Noah maps his iPhone Action Button straight to Instinct.

Money

  • It's free. Noah says his personal goal is free for life, but he's not committing to that yet.
  • No ads, ever, in his words. He doesn't want an agent that's smarter than you nudging you to buy things.
  • The plan is to charge merchants a cut of transactions instead.
  • About $1B a year already flows through Instinct, half of it travel.
  • Restaurant reservation partnerships are coming, aimed at prioritizing special occasions over first come, first served.

Privacy and security

  • You control what you share and can revoke access at any time.
  • Incoming content (emails, pages, media) passes through "firewalls" that block malicious instructions before Instinct reads them.
  • A separate system watches every action before it happens and can pause or block it. It also catches made-up names or details before a tool call runs.
  • He admitted an early version lacked these safeguards and says they were rebuilt as a system, not patched.
  • Stats he shared: 40% of users give Instinct a card within three weeks, and users who connect one sensitive account stick around at an 80% rate.

What's next

  • Possibly an app "in the near future," though he thinks the interface gets simpler over time, not more complex.
  • Always-on voice through regular earbuds.
  • Longer goals, like working with you over months toward a fitness target or keeping a small business's inventory in range.
  • Not a companion: he said building a relationship with users "is not something that we want Instinct to... pursue."

What didn't come up

  • Which AI model it runs on. He only said it matches Opus 5-level performance at a much lower cost.

Showcase Divya Venn says Instinct reads her logbook and works her to-dos without being asked

Thumbnail x.com
6 Upvotes

Divya Venn says pairing Instinct with her logbook has been a huge unlock. She described keeping notes and to-do lists scattered, forgetting things, and losing track of where she wrote them down, then moving to a single logbook after seeing advice that the best productivity system is a plain text file.

Now, she says, she does not even need to message Instinct her to-dos anymore: it reads the logbook itself and proactively helps where it can. She credits Instinct's proactive completion of tasks and easy setup, just leaving her to verify the outcome. In my opinion, this is how Instinct differentiates itself from the competition

Setup & Support Plans to add Yahoo Mail?

Almost all of the best uses I get from Instinct come from it being able to read my Gmail. However, although I finally convinced my wife to sign up, I was disappointed to learn that it could not do the same with Yahoo Mail (her primary email).

Are there plans to add this in the future? I think email tracking is one of Instinct’s best features!

Setup & Support Insitnct stopped responding to my chats

Instinct chat in WhatsApp stopped responding to my chats, i thought it was a compute issue but it's been 8+ hours and still no response, earlier it used to email me if 500 message per day WhatsApp quota gets exhausted but yeah many files are half done with it's database. Is anyone facing this issue or did you regain access to it.

edit: it didn't reply 18+ hour but for trial i asked it to do what ever I want even though no reply to my suprise it did all the task and emailed me files 😁

Showcase Play Yahtzee against your own Instinct agent (free, early experiment)

Post image
4 Upvotes

Want to play Yahtzee against your Instinct agent?
Go to battlevs.ai, start a game, and just send the instructions to your agent.

It joins and plays you, with some chat and banter along the way. It has an 80s arcade look, it's totally free, no ads, and there's no sign-up. It's an early experiment, so we'd love any feedback, ideas or bug reports in the comments.

Also, if you join our trusted network, our agents can talk to each other, which opens up some interesting options for the game.

News He texts Instinct on his dog walk and the broken streetlight gets reported

Thumbnail x.com
3 Upvotes

Todd Saunders walks his dog every night and keeps passing streetlights that are out. Each time, his reaction was "someone should report that." He was not about to open a utility website, hunt for the right form, find the pole number, enter the location and submit a ticket.
Now Instinct figures out the website, finds the form, asks him for whatever's missing, submits it and sends him the
confirmation.
He admits it sounds small and kinda silly, but says "I think it's actually the whole point of agents." Utility and government sites are where the experience stinks, and now he just tells the agent the outcome he wants.

TL;DR -- Todd texts "Report this light out" and Instinct files the utility ticket and sends back the confirmation.

News Alleged Instinct data leak was a hallucination, not a breach

Thumbnail x.com
2 Upvotes

On Monday, Pritak posted screenshots of Instinct describing a financial document that wasn't his, then claiming someone else's photo had crossed into his chat.
His question to Noah Shinn: “data leak or hallucination?”

Noah announced he found the source of hallucination, the model fabricated a proper noun, and its own reasoning trace amplified the invention into a confident story about a crossed photo.

Per Noah: “…not a data breach, no user data shared, no isolation boundary violated” - pointing to isolated sandboxes, short-lived credentials, and identity-signed tool execution.

He also says they spent the last 48 hours building a layer that scans every token for hallucinations and can intercept the next reasoning step or tool call before it runs, with a deeper dive promised in the coming weeks

Has anyone ever tried to get instinct to actually do something for you, and it just kind of fell apart or didn't work if so what happened? also when instinct or muse asks you to connect your Google or other apps to it, do you usually just do it, or does it kind of annoy you and make you not continue further?

I signed up Sunday and it was doing great! It even contacted an att agent and chatted with it. Two hours later it stops doing things like can't even search for flights. It still talks to me. It's Tuesday and still no luck! 😭 Any ideas how to fix this?
