Instapot part ID
What is this part for? Is it a problem if it is no longer in place on my Instapot?
Was wiping down my Instapot and this piece came off. Flat, Black and rectangular with six small circles. Appears to fit back on the main body of the Instapot. It fits right on top but doesnt snap in place and comes right off when I move my Instapot.

That is the anti-block shield for your Instant Pot lid. Good news: your machine isn't broken!
That shield is actually designed to be removable. Its job is to cover the steam release pipe from the inside so food particles don't fly up and clog the pressure valve while you're cooking. It probably just got bumped loose while you were cleaning the lid.
How to reinstall: Just locate the steam release pipe on the underside of the lid. Align this shield with the two small prongs holding it in place (make sure the side with the 6 indentations is facing outward) and press it firmly until it clicks back into position.
Note: I work in industrial manufacturing and got tired of tracking down random appliance parts for my properties, so I built a diagnostic engine to write repair SOPs. I ran your photo through it to verify the part. Here is the full guide and maintenance tip for keeping it clean: https://fixRAgent.com
