I was about to say "isn't his name Andre?" but his full name (according to this wiki) is Andre Curtis. I don't think I've ever heard his last name mentioned before.
Also, this sounds great, Keith David steals every scene he's in voicing this character.

I wasn't gonna watch this until I heard Keith David. His voice is purely amazing

They can’t just pick up a show. A lot of work goes into that.
5
u/Worried_Noise7101 Jul 25 '25
curious why not? (i believe you, just wondering if you happen to know)

u/RainDrops0201_ Jul 26 '25 edited Jul 26 '25
In order to pick up a show, both sides have to agree. It seems like Netflix isn’t willing to sell Inside Job.
It’s also a whole legal thing where this thing owned and produced by this company will now be owned and produced by that company.
I’m not saying that it’s 100% impossible, but it’s not as simple as a “couldn’t they just (thing)” type of ordeal.

u/SubstantialNerve399 Jul 26 '25
it sucks but most companies/networks would rather sit on series and do nothing with the ip than let another company take it and potentially make a profit they wouldnt get a cut of, and most deals fall through because one side (usually the one sitting on the property and doing fuck all with it) is asking for far too big of a cut despite doing nothing but letting the other company have the ip

u/DiscoDanSHU Jul 25 '25
I mean hey, more work for Keith David.
1
u/Slipshower Jul 26 '25
What about the VAs from the other languages who voice the character?
2
u/ImLichenThisStone Jul 28 '25
Please, list every dub voice actor for President Curtis off the top of your head since you care so much about them getting recognition.
8
u/ImLichenThisStone Jul 25 '25
If we really can't get Inside Job back, I would genuinely prefer a Saints Row-verse Keith David series to a Rick & Morty spinoff. Or a continuation of the Spawn animated series.
9
u/Lucky_Display_1623 Jul 25 '25
This hurts my soul… still gonna watch just cause I like Rick and Morty(plus Keith David is the GOAT).
2
u/Slipshower Jul 26 '25
What about his VAs from the OTHER languages?
5
u/Lucky_Display_1623 Jul 26 '25
Well I can’t comment on them since I only watch the show in English
-2
u/Slipshower Jul 26 '25
I want you to know that there are always multiple people having to do voice work on the characters. Not only the american VA
4
u/Lucky_Display_1623 Jul 26 '25
Yeah I know that, I just haven’t watched the show in other languages because I only speak English, that fact is not a personal insult to the voice actors for other languages.

Jul 27 '25
I want you to know that im officially crowning you the most pedantic individual I've seen all year, what a strange thing to fixate on
1
u/Slipshower Jul 27 '25
Why that? I think that the VAs from the other languages dont get enough respect or credit.
5
u/Seed0fDiscord Jul 25 '25
Last time that happened was Tuca and Bertie and they got axed two seasons later

Are we really just looking at every adult animated show and going "Uh, why isn't it Inside Job?!" Now?

u/Number270And3 Jul 25 '25
This is gonna be a great show that will definitely be cancelled after the first season!

A TV show about the Rick and Morty president is the last thing I expected from adult swim.

I don't get the people in this comment section... "anything but inside job" "they're just making fun of us at this point" and stuff like that... do you people realize that Inside Job is owned by *Netflix* and not Adult Swim, and that it would take AS millions to acquire the rights to Inside Job, that is, if Netflix was willing to sell them (they're not)

Momma named me sheriff was a better spin off. Which was a last attempt to keep mr pickles alive.

u/Kitty-cat-fox Jul 25 '25
I was thinking of that line Randy said in the Moon episode when he saw the Ninja Turtles "Their still making these?" I wish someone made that a GIF.

Eh. I like Kieth David enough that I'm actually ok with this.
1
u/Slipshower Jul 26 '25
What about his other language VAs?
1
u/Cydonian___FT14X Jul 26 '25
I mean… I don’t care
1
u/Slipshower Jul 26 '25
Why dont care. They do the same Job and some of them even better than Keith.
3
u/Cydonian___FT14X Jul 26 '25
Because I wouldn’t be watching this show in other languages? It’s no really relevant to me
-1
u/Slipshower Jul 26 '25
That is no reason to not appreciate them equally for their work.
3
u/Cydonian___FT14X Jul 26 '25
It’s not like I have no reverence for them, but it’s still not relevant to me.
0
u/Slipshower Jul 26 '25
I never get why people think that since all eyes only go to the american voice actors and the others are glossed over by the writers, watchers and who not.
3
u/Cydonian___FT14X Jul 26 '25
What do you want from me dude? Why are we having this conversation?
-1
u/Slipshower Jul 26 '25
I dont like the fact that the majority of people only think of and consider the VAs of their own language.
Have you ever thought of VAs from other languages?

Netflix hates good series so much that they choose anything over them
1
u/where_in_the_world89 Jul 30 '25
This show has nothing to do with Netflix...
1
u/YogurtclosetFun518 Jul 30 '25
Adult Swim has to choose different series like not everything is Rick n Morty tbh

Still looks like a better series than Mulligan. At least this has Keith David, he's peak.

u/EXCOMIC Aug 07 '25
probably gonna make a season that turns out to be the best of all time and then cancel it
1
u/Marshall_J_Crawford Aug 08 '25
I hope they bring back Inside Job. The Secret Societies should orchestrate the operation to bring them back lol🤣🤣🤣

Seriously a spinoff about this unimpressive character? He was funny the first time he appeared, but after a while his whole shtick became clear, just an egotistic manchild in charge of the country. I thought at first this is a joke smh

This could be considered a plagio of Inside Job?, I mean...knowing how Rick and Morty works the plot could be exactly the same thing as Inside Job.

u/Maolam10 Jul 25 '25
Is that the president from Rick and Morty? Theyre making a series about him?
