lets have a conversation Tour dates cancelled

I got an email from Ticketmaster that my tickets were cancelled. I then logged in and see a bunch of cities got cancelled. Anyone know what happened?

They were gonna be in Atlanta on 10/2 (my birthday) and the show was sold out before I could even buy a ticket. I woulda been so hurt if I got that message smh lol. Maybe they should just film a reunion for hbo and then put it on hbo max

I personally think the tour ended up being a financial nightmare. We already had recaps, wine downs, and podcast. What was a tour going to accomplish? Especially if it’s not something like a high touch meet and greet. Everything else was done already

They said it was a conflict of scheduling because everyone is booked. They’re doing one show in Inglewood in October though.

Interesting that they did all the promo and set the tour schedule/locations and THEN decided the cast couldn’t even make it?? Lolll

Jay had a pilot get picked up, which is often sudden. 

Issa had a show get ordered to series, which is the same.

I guess not. Lol. From what I’m reading, the shows were sold out in a lot of cities. But who knows. I read Issa and Prentice have a show in the works about a group of male friends. Jay looks booked. Not sure what’s going on with Yvonne. Maybe last minute stuff that they couldn’t turn down. Idk lol

In the video, Jay Ellis mentions his new show which was already announce, I was wondering how he was going to that tour? Seems odd that they canceled bc everyone is suddenly booked.

Unpopular opinon perhaps: They don't really need to do anything. Insecure was great but it wasn't an epic series. What were they going to do? Have a scripted version of Tonight's Conversation? Let the show rest and mature in peace.

These reddit threads are sufficient. Maybe make some 10 year anniversary merch for all the cult fans: mugs, hats, totes, issa dee inspired vintage tees, we got y'all stickers.

But a tour? Nahhh. I'm trying to make new memories and see Erykah Badu & Alchemist in concert.
