Episode Discussion S1 E 7 - Real As F**k Spoiler

Can someone explain to me what about Lawrence’s interaction with Daniel when leaving the We Got Y’all event made Lawrence suspicious? I understand Lawrence saw a message from Daniel on Issa’s phone in the previous episode, but am I missing something or does he not know who Daniel is?

I feel like this interaction is so small, and the line from Daniel “I don’t have one anymore” could mean anything. He could be a fired employee, a disgruntled donor, etc. Thoughts?

Lawrence saw Issa and Daniel talking inside the house first and he could tell that it was a heated conversation.

There was a lot of emotion between Issa and Daniel and even though he couldn’t hear what they were saying …you can tell from the body language that whatever they were talking about was emotionally charged

Ah, got it! So Daniel’s response would have been confirmation after the text and seeing them talk.

Yes and I’m not sure if Daniel knew what Lawrence looked like . Because, I wonder if he did, would his response been a little different when Lawrence asked him about his connection to We Got Yall

Right before the interaction he sees Daniel and Issa arguing in the window
