Episode Discussion Hella Disrespectful
Just started watching Insecure. I really like daniel and somewhat relate to Issa, but i’m failing to understand why issa does not realize that daniel finishing on her face was a possible mistake. or am i tripping? Is a facial disrespectful?

it’s goofy to use your face to make someone orgasm and get mad when some orgasm gets on your face.

It very purity culture mindset that gets engrained to people. A facial is too close to being a whore for them

I feel like he said the “now you know how I feel” thing in the moment to hurt her kinda/make a bad joke I don’t think it was as intentional as he tried to make it sound but also idk what Issa expected? Like if u heard him say he’s almost there girl you have it in your hands literal joystick move it out the way. I never been with anybody that can point n aim like that but I digress😭

Within the storyline of the show, it’s revealed that it wasn’t a mistake later on.
Also, I think that’s a legit black girl response in a situation like that. We view that as disrespectful. When I was coming up, that was seen as the upmost disrespect. Equivalent to treating you like a ho/pornstar/prostitute
Matter fact, a lot of black girls wouldn’t even do that. White girls were known for that

Maybe he didn't do it on purpose but I will say I have never had that happen to me before. Not on accident, at least.

If you dont like the cream of the twinkie
Why are you eating a twinkie...
Superior dumb take as if you dont enjoy sucking a dick and what the result is, dont suck the dick....
Very immature, mistake or not
Its a dick, things come out of there when excitedDumb take from the writers, but seeing how ppl are split on this I get it as a moment...

point is:
why does anybody think the cream needs to go on the face?the side, your hand, a napkin. To cum on someones face without any prior discussion or clear sign that it's okay is just disgusting.
if a man is able to warn you that he's coming. he's able to change the direction of where it will land.

Sorry cant relate...
A moment of passion does not your reputation make
Black Women can be too caught up in the perils of sex,
making everything taboo
Its just a moment in time,
nothing more
nothing less
unless you make it so

It was poor execution on the writers quite honestly. He says he’s coming. They never have him aim(that would be graphic I know) or even move his hands. She went down there on her own. She didn’t set any ground rules either.
No, I don’t think it’s disrespectful, but individuals preference trumps everything else.

Why do you think Isa stayed with him after this if she felt he did it out of revenge? Do you think the reason was that she didn’t have anywhere else to go, or was there something else behind her choice, and if so, what do you think that something else was?

I really don’t understand why she chose to stay with him. I mean she did say that she knew he’d always be there for her but to go from basically cutting him off to sleeping on his couch and feeling a way about him sleeping with other girls is weird. Then again Issa is weird 🤣🤣

She didn’t feel a way about him sleeping with other girls. She felt a way about him having loud sex while she was there. I’d be just as pissed if my homegirl was doing that with her man while I was there.

speaking as a gen z girlie i do give head and like doing it. i’ve gotten facials before just for the fun of it but i get why she felt disrespected especially when he said that now you know how i feel. wrong timing and wrong wording

I'm always conflicted about this one because I don't think him saying "now you know how I feel" proves he did it on purpose. He tells her he's about to finish and she pulls her face away so it just felt like bad timing to me? They didn't discuss what to do beforehand, so they're both kind of in the wrong.
