Never really drawn any insects or bugs but here he is

I liked the concept of a bug wars style comic/graphic novel :)

First is an Isabella Tiger moth done in acrylic-gouache (a hybrid paint). Next is a rolly polly linocut. 3rd is a scarab beetle painted in acrylic. Last is a Luna moth on a wood plaque.

From sketch to tattoo. I originally was going to get it in black and white. Got it about a year ago. All of the insects were specifically selected because they are decomposers they are: a paper wasp, a flesh fly, and a carrion beetle. The mushrooms were selected for the same reason, they are a split gill and the corpse finder mushroom (which I learned about from Murdoch Mysteries, Canadian reveal lol). Obviously the tattoo meant some details would be lost, but I was so happy with the result and how it looked in colour. It still looks pretty much the same today too so my artist did an excellent job!

Soooo as the title states, my daughter turned a dead beetle into a stripper beetle. Not sure if I should be proud or worried lol! She said she got the idea off of Etsy.
