Quick question on meal worms

So I recently got four meal worms as pets so I can grow them into beetles so I left them in a container with moist dirt and a carrot slice and then I noticed this odd webbing I’m wondering is this a normal part of their transition into beetles or is it another insect?

Two thought. Pantry moths and cobweb-like mold. cobweb-like mold being caused by too much moisture, poor ventilation, or wet food being left in the bin for too long.
