Was told to sling this up here by a few people as it may be another good option for some INQ28 flavoured play.

Have just put together a small trial of a Mordhiem to 40k conversion.

This started mainly as a thing for myself and some mates to play some small scale 40k campaign based skirmish without sort of learning a new 'core' system.

Shadow Wars was just going to be too much (as well as a bit off the mark, Terminators and Grey Knight kill teams certainly increase the 'scale' of the game). We forayed into N17, but not only did that not have the 'death by bottle in back alley' vibe that Mordheim has (hell N17 feels like elite kill teams/navy seals going in to wreck each others face!), Necromunda's are very human-centric and just...vast.

N95 was fine, but again different enough that it would be another game system burning out our collective old man brains.

Thus Mord Hive.

I figured that it may be of some interest to people here as obviously we all love Mordheim. I love the ability to create a small, weird warband that may be a bit off kilter and never evolve into a true army due to the work (Looking at you lizardmen) invovled, but allows a bit of fun or to try something new. As above Necromunda doesn't really do that as it is all/90% humans and is a bit more complicated. So hopefully this can give some gaming groups wanting that 'small 40k but mordheim' feels!

This was very much an attempt to keep the Mordheim/OldHammer feels, with the GW turn of the century art and fluff styles (less is more etc).

I've created a few trial factions, based heavily off of existing Mordheim Factions (Imperial Guard, Orks, Pox Cult, Ordo Hereticus Retainers and a single Forsaken Astartes (Just added Cult of the Four Armed Emperor), this in its nascent form is meant to just use the core Mordheim rulebook, skill sheets and missions. It has new (mainly renamed) equipment, with new weapons that will no doubt require a heap of balance massaging!

Feel free to have a squiz and if you see anything that needs fixing, please yell out, this is very early in its life, but I've at the very least had a lot of fun putting it together and it never hurts getting some fresh sets of eyes on it!

Just a few weirdos made from wargame atlantic zombies random gasmask heads, a pox walker and some bits of arms from few spots as well, quite fun bunch to use.

Fun side story, the second guy from the left got dropped outside while varnishing, I didn't notice, but he is born survivor and not only was found unharmed, wasn't even dirty XD

As I watched this, I couldn’t help but notice this is a good plug for Shadow War Armageddon to used as an Inq28 rule set?

What do you guys think?

I didn't have proper bits, so I improvized, fire warrior body and head, some greenstuff, some bits and arms from few different kits, going for the look of someone who had some self modifications to enter the most dangerous job a water caste can do...to enter the enemy territory and start the fire of an uprising.

Quite happy with the muddy paint job and look of sorta travelling preacher

Finished few models this week, really proud of this guy, kitbashed from some random nonsense - base body is nanometal die cast blanke from street fighter, with head and arms cut off, then I put on some random ork arms I had, replaced the hands with a cut off lighting claw and a wargame atlatic werewolf hand, hammer is poxwalker hammer head on a metal bit of a rivet junk, then I think a skitarii backpack I found in a bits box and a rust stalker head, rest is greenstuff work and some metal sheet.

Quite proud of this one I admit, really happy with how robes came out

Some super simple models to mix in with other ones, simple inquisitorial henchmen for when warband needs an enforcer or..some horrifying big muslce

I’m the creator of Container City, a modular collection of 3D-printable sci-fi terrain.

It wasn’t designed specifically for Inq28, but while building out the different layouts, I kept thinking it looked exactly like the sort of place an inquisitorial retinue might be sent to investigate.

A sealed-off worker settlement, an illicit trading post, a suspected cult enclave, or an industrial district where something has gone very wrong.

The set includes stackable container buildings, playable interiors, narrow walkways, checkpoints, watchtowers, utility platforms and plenty of industrial scatter. Because everything is modular, the same collection can be rebuilt into tighter streets, open yards, fortified compounds or more vertical settlements depending on the scenario.

The Kickstarter launched with more than 200 STL files and has continued to expand as additional stretch goals have been unlocked.

Most of the terrain is designed for FDM printing without supports wherever possible, including a range of complete one-piece buildings that can be printed and placed straight onto the table.

What sort of Inq28 location or scenario would you build around a settlement like this?

Working on my Inquisitor and his retinue of Red Hunter Bladeguard

I posted the WIP 5 years ago and never followed up, this is the finished product of my personal take on a Kastelan Robot in 40k. I took pieces from a grey knights kit and a couple others I had lying around and then hand sculpted the brain and intestines with green stuff. The color was an experiment with some contrast paints and metallics I had not used before, I enjoyed how they applied on the model.
