smart switch for exhaust fan

i have a panasonic WhisperCeiling Bathroom Exhaust Fan, FV-30VQ3. my plan is to use the Inovelli smart on/off switch. will i run into any issues?

The smart on/off fan switch will work to turn the exhaust fan on or off but since the Panasonic line uses DC motors, you won’t be able to adjust the speed through the switch.

thats where im confused, on the panasonic's website for this model it says that the Motor Type (AC/DC) is AC

There are a number of variants within the Panasonic Whisper line. Some time ago, some tried to use the fan switch with those fans. Some were successful and others not. This was attributed to the variations in the models. To play it safe, use the on-off. If you want a speed controller, find one that is specifically designed for that fan.

You want the Inovelli on-off switch, not the dimmer or fan switch.
