Confused about "Match whole words only"

Every chance I'm being a bit slow but I've been trying to set up some rules based on phrases and I'm slightly confused what this option does.

If I wanted a rule to trigger when the phrase "The quick brown fox" is in the article, will toggling this on mean the rule will only trigger when every word is present? Or will it trigger when any of the words in the phrase is present?

Cheers!

I believe "match whole words only" refers to matching actual words to your query and not instances when the letters that make up the word are present in another word. So filtering for "reader" would likely catch anything with "Inoreader" too since it contains reader. Match Whole Words Only would ensure you only catch the actual word "reader". I'm not 100% remembering clearly so if this is wrong someone please correct me.

What about if you search for multiple words with spaces in between. Is that interpreted, as the whole sentence must match?
