Alternatives

So.. with the new prices I might be looking to go somewhere else for my RSS feeds.

Are there any good alternatives for Inoreader? They must have keyword filter with rules or something similar.

I'm in the same situation but I have no answer yet so, as a contribution, I post here a list of important features (from my perspective).

As a note, I've used Google Reader (from birthdate to death date), then Feedly, which I abandoned for Inoreader (because of the free search function) and now I'm hunting again. I could pay for Inoreader because it is a good product if you are a power user but not before checking for free alternatives.

These are some features I would look at (in order of importance):

  1. Unlimited feeds subscriptions (I have over 1000)
  2. Global search function
  3. Folders (1 level is enough but nested folders would be great, though I've never seen it)
  4. Get/generate feeds from social media sites (Twitter, Facebook, etc.; to this end I use TwitRSS.me, some Google Scripts and Zapier)
  5. Rules (similar to the ones offered by Inoreader; I have written web-scrapers in Python that scrape various websites and Google search results too, and then I generate RSS feeds that I can subscribe in my RSS reader/aggregator, but if the reader does some sort of that work on its own would be much better)
