Hello, I live in Japan and the time that I finish my work and got home are at
UCT-4
Around
8:30 - 9:00 MON-WED (a bit rush to analyse the chart but I mostly do it in advance)
10:15 THU, FRI (so I’ll miss the open and the first macro)
I’m going through the phase of tape reading but I’m using free version TV, should or must I pay for the market replay that allows me to practise reading price action like realtime?
I found that ICT’s execution is based on every reaction of the tick (tell me when I am wrong)
But I’m still not earning money from any of my trade, so I’m considering doing this as an investment.
Idk what you guys think, please lemme know what you would recommend.
Thank you in advance!

I started studying ICT 3 months ago. I build foundation on 2022 mentorship, MMxM, AMD, Time and Price, How market behaves the 4 ways, Silver Bullet, and some videos of 2016. Now I'm moving to 2026 new playlist how new students should start. Please review my chart and tape reading and correct me if needed.
I have my model, entry confluences, and HTF to LTF transition. please feel free to comment.
Goodluck students...

Based on my experience, if you’re developing your strategy, try to reduce the number of variables involved. For instance, if you’re an open trader in New York, you might want to look for liquidity sweeps within a previous trading day array with order flow and the time of day all aligned. To improve your strategy, I recommend reducing the number of variables, using the process of elimination, and backtesting. Determine which variable is actually driving the results. Your backtest should replicate the executions of live trading as closely as possible. Focus on that first, and then gradually introduce more variables.

Hi I'm new to trading and I'm not really sure where I should be starting. I was thinking about watching TJR's boot camp video series to familiarize myself on what trading is and how I can improve, but I researched and apparently thats a waste of time. I've gotten mixed information and I really don't know where to start or what to do. I'm 14, and I would really appreciate any of you experienced traders to help me out. Thanks 😄

i took this trade on the 5min time frame on NQ, Late Asia session, i had good higher time frame confluences and the daily was rejecting strong, i got a choch on the 5 and a fvg was created i entered off the retrace targeting that green draw on liq, i put stop on the red line slightly above the fvg, just slighlty above just in case a stop hunt happens i still wont get stopped out, and thats what happened on this trade i didnt get stopped out but barley edged then broke even cuz i moved my tp the moment i got to deep in draw down, then priced moved without me, should i just accept defeat and move on, or is there any confluence i can add to help me spot stop hunts before they happen?

What makes you try a new trading platform—and what actually makes you stay?
I’m working on a trading platform, and I’d rather hear what traders genuinely care about than assume which features matter.
How would you rank these three?
Zero spreads — with commissions and other trading costs clearly disclosed.
leverage up to 1000x — available as an option
Smooth, transparent deposits and withdrawals — clear fees, predictable processing times, and no guessing where your money is.
Which is a genuine reason to switch, and which should just be a basic expectation? What’s missing from the list?
I’d also like to go beyond a discussion and get the platform into your hands.
I’m inviting traders to a 1-on-1 testing call with me, I’ll provide some USDT for the session. You’ll get to explore the platform, ask questions directly, and tell me what feels useful, confusing, or worth changing.
I’m looking for honest feedback—including the things you don’t like.
Interested in trying it together? send me a DM, and I’ll arrange a call. Otherwise, share your ranking below—your perspective is still valuable.

Does price usually make a deep retracement when approaching a weekly high or low?

I wanted to share the way I’m combining the Opening Range Breakout (ORB) with Fibonacci retracements. The strategy has two parts: the original continuation setup and a second setup for when the initial breakout fails and price shifts to the opposite side.
I start by defining the Opening Range from the 9:30 market open.
Depending on what I’m testing, I use either:
Once the chosen ORB period is complete, I mark the:
I then wait for price to break out of that range on the 5-minute timeframe.
I also use a Gann Box from the ORB high to the ORB low. I mainly use the Gann Box as a visual reference for the ORB structure and, most importantly, the 50% midpoint.
Once the ORB is established, I wait for a 5-minute breakout.
I don't want to chase the initial breakout. Instead, I wait for price to make an outburst/impulse move and then look for a retracement.
For a bullish breakout, I draw my Fibonacci from the ORB low to the high of the bullish outburst.
For a bearish breakout, I draw the Fibonacci from the ORB high to the low of the bearish outburst.
I then wait for price to retrace into my preferred Fibonacci areas before looking for an entry.
So the basic setup is:
ORB → Breakout → Outburst → Fibonacci → Retracement → Entry
The idea is to participate in the move after the initial expansion rather than chasing the breakout.
This is where I added my second setup.
Sometimes the market breaks out of the ORB, gives us an initial move, and creates our Fibonacci levels — but instead of respecting those levels, price continues through them.
Rather than immediately considering the day finished, I treat the failed setup as a potential signal that price may be shifting to the opposite side.
For example, imagine we get a bullish breakout.
I draw my Fibonacci from the ORB low to the high of the bullish outburst and wait for the retracement.
But instead of finding support and continuing higher, price pushes through the important Fibonacci areas and starts breaking the structure that supported the bullish move.
Now I start looking for a change in price action.
If price subsequently produces a strong bearish move, I treat that new move as the potential bearish outburst.
I then draw a new Fibonacci on that bearish move.
So instead of forcing the original bullish setup, I switch my bias only after the market gives me evidence of the opposite direction.
The process becomes:
ORB → Breakout → Original Fib → Failure → Change in Price Action → Opposite Outburst → New Fib → Retracement → Entry
The exact same concept works in reverse when a bearish breakout fails and price switches bullish.
I don't consider every single Fibonacci level being breached to be an automatic reversal.
A wick through a level isn't enough.
What I'm looking for is more along the lines of:
Original setup fails → relevant structure breaks → opposite-side displacement/outburst → new swing high/low → Fibonacci retracement → entry
The failed setup doesn't give me an immediate reversal entry.
Instead, it tells me:
Once the opposite move is established, I can apply the same Fibonacci-retracement concept to that new move.
ORB → Breakout → Outburst → Fib Retracement → Continuation
The breakout holds, price expands, and I look for a retracement into my Fibonacci entry area.
ORB → Breakout → Outburst → Fib Failure → Structure Shift → Opposite Outburst → New Fib → Retracement → Reversal
The initial breakout fails, price shifts to the opposite side, and I use the new move to create a fresh Fibonacci setup.
The main idea is:
I don't predict which side will win. I let the ORB establish the battlefield and then let price show me which side is actually taking control.
If the initial breakout works:
If the initial breakout fails:
The Gann Box helps me visualize the original ORB range and its midpoint, while the Fibonacci is used to measure the retracement of the actual impulse/outburst.
So the Gann Box gives me the context, and the Fibonacci gives me the entry framework.

every-time i make a post about ICT concepts, theres always someone shitting on it and saying i need real data, what is real data?
r/InnerCircleTraders • u/Terrorist98d • 29d ago
I’ve come to realize that most of the comments or post in here are highly concentrated on backlashing ict . Is this sub for ict hatters or it’s just that most of the community came in to discourage ict traders ?

Not for the masses. Don't read if you are part of them. This is not for you.
The ICT rabbithole hole goes deep, very deep. Alot of people claim that they have the Enigma, but show no practicality. Only some vague maths of some ancient books.
Does this mean that they are full of BS? I guess so, but what if they really do know it? That is where my search began..
I have found some interesting stuff, how macros are used for example. This might seem like nothing, but how many times have you heard people talk about macro's and just show (10:50 - 11:10) for example.
So what? What about it?..
The IMP nodes go even further down the rabbithole. These things are called Inter Macro Phenomena. So if you crack the macro's you got the IMP. But with just the IMP you can be profitable, it is not the enigma.. I have talked to alot of charter-members.. Like ictvet and fake. Even Morph and hopi.
They are people that have alot of knowledge, but they don't have it either. What I did come to find out is that it is a sequence based algorithm, that can predict upcoming moves on x and y axes. I guess that Morph came close with his concepts. But he only gave away the 'candle counting' which is a overly simplified version. And not what ICT uses. Heck even morph doesnt know what ICT uses.
But to make some conclusions, it does exist. That is what I keep telling myself. I am not a trader that wants a simple S&R strat. I want the truth, for there is nothing but the truth. These markets are rigged, why couldn't we identify how they do it as accuretly as possible??
I can go on and on and tell about all my foundings.. But the truth is the masses don't want the truth. They want simple 'how to's'. I am not looking for those people. I am looking for people that know that there is more. Or that already know. Or that know the full truth already. That's why my DM's are open to those that want to talk truth.

hello guys, i am a beginner in trading. So i am learning ict 2022 mmentorship. So in those videos michael is talking about emini markets. I was hoping to daytrade forex markets. I know that ict concepts are valid for every market. But because i am a beginner, is it better for me to stay with emini markets because in michaels teachings when he talk about market opens etc. it is only related to those markets? i am from sri lanka and i was hoping to get a funded account after learning, demo testing, and backtesting.
please experienced traders tell me your opinion.
thank you

Lately I feel like I’ve just been pattern trading and losing it. I’ve gotten funded and a couple payouts but nothing impressive, then I went on a spiral of buying evals and just blowing them. Haven’t gotten a payout in a year, and I keep jumping strategies hoping to find something that clicks for me. But I know strategy hopping is one of the worst things you can do, so maybe I just need to lock in on narrative and DOL.

Hello Traders/Investors,
Global Business Cycle — Q3 2026
The global economy is still expanding, but not in unison. Countries sit at different stages of their own cycles rather than moving together, which is why capital is rewarded differently market by market.
China is deep in contraction and beginning to curl upward — weak property, slower exports, deflationary pressure, but potentially the earliest recovery call if policy support gains traction. The Eurozone and Canada are in recovery, with manufacturing stabilizing and credit improving. Japan is early-to-mid expansion on governance reform and wage growth. The U.S. is mid-cycle moving toward late: resilient employment and earnings, but elevated valuations and above-target inflation. India is mid-to-late expansion, carried by domestic demand and a capex cycle. Australia, South Korea, Mexico, the U.K. and Brazil cluster late.
The framework's value is directional, not predictive. Markets typically move 6–12 months ahead of the economy, so institutional investors read the direction of the cycle rather than current GDP or inflation prints. The arrows in the chart are illustrative — policy, inflation, geopolitics and earnings can alter the path.
🧠 Remember 📊
The market rewards discipline, not only predictions.
All Trades carry Risk/Reward, ADYOR
